Only open on the last Sunday of every month except for December when they are open on the third Sunday. Nevertheless what a great vibe, if the weather is good its an excellent way to spend ones Sunday. Not much to do for the little kids however its dog friendly and theres lots to by and eat. Parking is plenty however fills up quickly. The venue is wheelchair friendly even though its on grass, with disabled parking close to one of the entrances.
All outdoors, very vibey, great variety of food vendors from bacon & egg rolls, to Indonesian food, pizza, artisan breads, samosas to fresh fruit and veg. There is some seating, but you can bring along a picnic blanket and sit on the grass. The craft section has an array of jewelry, quilts, bags, childrens hand crafted toys and clothing, books, paintings, pet beds, African curios, handmade shoes , and so much more. Most vendors have SnapScan for ease of payment. A perfect outing on a Sunday morning. Do go early if you want a parking spot close by.
Great selection of stores. Wish they had more seating though. Ended up going to a restaurant nearby instead as there was nowhere to sit down
Great variety of crafts, foods and books. Cant be beaten for the variety and number of stalks, and none of the Congolese/Kenyan tat.
Love picnic vibes, unrushed shopping, chatting, eating, socializing. Its ultimate pleasure to spend time here.
Last Sunday of the month in Summer, except for 20 December 2020. Stunning variety of unique crafts and food stalls.
Very nice if you are looking for a gift for someone, especially if they just had a baby or foreign as lots of options which are great for that. Also nice if you want some nibbles and to listen to a funny little band. Nice way to spend an hour or so.I got this sweet little knitted fox there made by an actual granny. Everyone loves him and he is very cute. We’ve named him Foxy.
One stop shop for the most creative, unique items from local crafters.
Avoid the malls, do your Christmas shopping here. Theres something for everyone. Great book stall. And theres good beer to relax under the trees with when youre done...
Beautiful relaxed. Safe and clean. Lots to eat and drink at excellent priced Experience
Not a bad experience but also not the best. Think some of the vendors change their prices depending on the person in front of them so think I may have been ripped off. The samoosas we bought were excellent. Market is not in kirstenbosch gardens which is what I expected so a bad assumption on my part.
Some beautiful, unique and hand-crafted items. Quite large with a live band and food and drink available. Very enjoyable even if all you want is a day out. It is a bit expensive
Awesome market. I found some real treasures that are locally made. 10/10 would recommend for its food, music and stall variety. Sad that its closed during winter though.
I have always really enjoyed going to this market. Something for everyone..
Lovely place to spend the day
Great stalls. Good selection of foods. Allround cool vibe.
Great market. Lots of hand-made crafts and unique products. Good food stands and often live music. Worth a visit.
Lovely market, must make toilets more noticeable, especially the males
Wonderful and Interesting craft stores. Theres a variety of food stalls and live entertainment. Its a lovely place to spend a Sunday afternoon
Lots of fun and good range across crafts, food, drink and music.
This market is filled with treasures. The food and music is great.
This is one of the best outdoor markets in the most beautiful areas in CapeTown
An awesome market, with amazing food stalls! Only problem is not enough shaded seating. Please supply more umbrellas and tables!
Very nice place to go hang out and find some goodies.
What a lovely market,I have not been for years and was really impressed.Lots of lovely home made things to buy.It was a hot day and after 3 hours we left as there is no where shady to eat unless you sit on the grass -do suggest some benches in the shade, but then it really was a hot day.
We were so disappointed in this place. Not much to see, but the place is fairly large. It was touted as one of the top 7 botanical gardens in the world, right up there with British Columbia’s Bouchart Gardens. Not even in a world class category. Fairly remote to reach as well.
It was well-attended, with lovely food, a super band, and a vibrant and enjoyable atmosphere.
Always something new to see and experience
Its an amazing craft market to find the most beautiful hand made things and it is set in an amazing location
Wonderful craft market! Well worth a visit!
Nice walks but mostly trees. Not even flowers. Not very nice as I expexted from a botanical garden. And a bit far of the center.
An interesting collection of plant life. The enclosed facility for desert fauna was of particular interest.
Fantastic sunday market with lots of stalls, plenty to eat and drink and great live music do not miss.
Lots of plants on sale and food stalls in a tranquil environment
Pretty and relaxed atmosphere with some lovely crafts.
Great market, with good amount of stalls. Beautiful setting.
Great gardens to visit and prob the best market in SA
Needs a bit of change. Been there after almost two years and was exactly the same... some stalls have expensive stuff for an outdoor market. Worth a one time visit.
Wonderful, quality handmade gifts for reasonable prices and an amazing atmosphere and environment.
Everything you need perfect for Christmas shopping
Such a beautiful place and the markets are always great
I sell my beautiful jewellery here!
Beautiful flowers and amazing views of the mountain.

Fantastic gardens, nice food. Great flowers.
