Great store. They have an excellent range if quality goods and their prices are very competitive. I bought a freezer there. I had seen it online on Hirschs website for a lower price that what it was marked in the store. Without hesitation they gave me the lower price.

I originally had a great service experience at Hirschs Milnerton while purchasing a small fridge for our flat, until I needed to exchange it. This was my fault - I had underestimated the size of the unit needed for our kitchen. We had unpacked the fridge but had kept all the packaging and not plugged it in. I went in to get a new, larger unit and got told wed be charged a repackaging fee for the original unit - fair enough. But the fee was a WHOPPING 30% of the purchase price. The manager told me the fridge needed to be sent away to be repackaged?? Just be aware that you might get good service buying something from Hirschs, but the after sales service is terrible, and a rip off.

I received a matching toaster and Kettle I think 10 or more years ago. And I am still using the products really I am forever grateful to the giver. A worthy investment.I would like to know if they offer repairs or have spares especially my Kettle.

I was in your Milnerton Store for a replacement filter for my Hoover vacuum cleaner. You stock the same vacuum cleaner Hoover. The elder lady in the spares department was not exactly the friendliest of people but said she would request a price etc. via email to Johannesburg and would email me. Sadly day two and no email received. I have read on Hallo Peter number people complaining about your company which is such a great pity but I am inclined to believe the stories and reluctant to shop at Hirshes Milnerton again. Great stock etc. in store, but customer care - terrible.

Excellent service in-shop, and even by phone. They are quite happy to price beat. Regular specials on their items, and stock high quality products, as well as more affordable (but not cheap) ranges. I particularly enjoy their kitchen range. If you are a cook, a trip here is absolutely obligatory if you are wanting to buy new kitchenware. I always leave feeling satisfied with the service and with my buys.

You will definitely more than likely get the best price here.If you get the right sales rep and keep them Ive heard doing business with Hirschs is lovely. But thats just not my experience. Maybe the standard experience is great and Im just very unlucky to have consistently bad experiences. I just know I never want to go back.1. Bad after sales service: I had made an appointment a week in advance to pick up an item ( parts for my original order that was not added) and confirmed the morning thereof that I could collect at the allotted time. When I arrived I was kept waiting for 1.5 hours (I waited as the shop is completely out of my route and I didnt want to have to come back) then waited another 20 mins to then be told that the item wasnt available.2. Some sales reps will lie to clinch the deal: I was offered a demo model appliance at a reduced price. The rep informed me the demo was the last available and I could not get the product new, so a good price would be worked out for me since it had been on the floor a few months. I was hesitant so checked online. The product was available brand new and the reps good price was the same as the standard retail price.3. Misinformation: I called to inquire what the return policy was. I therefore went to return an item 2 days later but was told their policy differed from what I had been informed. A minor issue for a minor return but I just felt bitterly disappointed after the previous two experiences.

I am impressed. I can highly recommend Hirschs to the public out there. The staff is friendly and welcoming and makes you feel right at home. Hirschs specializes in the best products you can get in the world and the most competent staff. Mrs. Hirsch is a real Gem and Mr. HirSch is a wonderful man.The staff is really awesome and so is the products and especially the owners. The shop looks always nice and presentable and are kept clean by such stunning cleaning ladies. This is the company to fit out your interiors. The best major retailer in SA. Hirschs never disappoint. In a country where service levels are abysmal, walking into Hirschs is such a pleasure. I needed a special pillow for my severe neck pain and they made an extra special plan to accomodate me. Im so impressed and nothing was too much trouble or hassle for them. Thank you to the staff at Milnerton for being so amazing.

We went to Hirsch looking for a tumble dryer drum belt. We were ushered up to the spares department. Waited for a while and then when the frontdesk was clear we were ignored as if we were not there. A lady busy on her desktop ask the gentlemen to her right to attend to us. He was clueless on stock and the lady had to help us and we got our belt. We then had to go down stairs to pay at the cashiers. Bearing in my mind the shop was empty of customers except a few of us waiting in the queue to pay which turned out to a very long time. Then a customer behind us was encouraged to jump the queue ahead of us for some reason. Which was not on. We were then told staff were sick but all of a sudden after our complaint ... miraculously another cashier appeared. We found the experience unpleasant to say the least.

What a wonderful experience in visiting this store this morning looking for a convection microwave.From the time of entering through the front door, I was approached by Mr Buthelezi, his product knowledge was excellent, he listens silently and intensively, till you have said what you are looking for, he then took me to the different areas where the microwaves are displayed by supplier. Any question I asked on the products I received a well and very informed reply. I will definitely shop in this store again.

We found a great deal here on a fridge/freezer. Jean gave us excellent service by preparing the invoice the day before we went to pay. On the day we went there we could just walk in and pay. She arranged the delivery for the same day (where competitors take quite a few days). Within two hours of us paying for our lovely new fridge, it was in our kitchen! Well done Jean and Hirschs! Well be back. Your customer service is excellent! And the store is so neat and clean with everything under the sun to create a beautiful home. Go there, you wont be sorry.

Bought a Bosch vacuum. Wanted to return it a week later (used twice for 2min) but they said cant return because of Covid (the dust must have caught it from the dirt lol) . Then it changed to yes, you can bring it back but they will have to take 40% - 60% off due to it now having to become a demo model!Desperate times it seems!!!

I was truly impressed with the service at the Milnerton branch, the staff are active and engaging at all times. I travel internationally quite a bit and noticed service decreasing in South Africa to my disappointment, but this visit restored my faith. Well done to your team, this is what makes the difference.

Bought a Fridge, washing machine, microwave, toaster and kettle from Hirschs. The salesman assured me the Bosch washing machine had all the functionality compared to a samsung and that the Defy fridge is frost free. Had to return the bosch washing machine after a few days because the functionality was bad and had to pay a 15% handling fee. Then the fridge started to frost at the top and bottom, defy technician comes out and advises it is not a frost free fridge. The salesman now tells me he needs to speak to his manager about the issue. It has been over 2 weeks now with no feedback, according to the salesman this issue has to go to the Hirschs family directly to make a decision and Mrs Hirsch is very busy. This is by far the most ridiculous thing I have heard. I have been a Hirschs customer for many years but it looks like their standards have dropped and their salesman are not ethical (seems like they push products like bosch maybe because they earn a higher commission on these). Its best to switch to Makro or Game.

Make sure to check the website before going as the dishwasher I went to buy was R700 more expensive in store until I showed them the website with the cheaper price. They were really great about it and honored the cheaper website price. So do your research.

I bought a bed base from Hirsch’s during their sale on the weekend. I paid a premium to what I would have paid at another retailer as it was meant to be a superior quilted finish only to get home to a damaged and dirty base.Terrible. Will never return to Hirsch

Hi, I’m very disappointed with getting spares for a washing machine I bought from you less than 2 years ago. It’s a AEG. We cannot find any spares in South Africa and proceeded to order it from manufacturer. It’s a door latch and they want to charge me 50% the price of a new machine. We ordered the part +3 months ago and are still waiting. Your response will be appreciated

If you need a new TV come to these folks first as you dont need to waste your time going to another store. They go out of their way to give great service. Safe parking and open over the weekend.

Although the store is impressive in stock selection, they dropped the ball with their after sales service. A warning to anyone buying online who does not stay near a store as you will be required to return and collect on your time and at your cost.Takealot does free delivery in purchases over R400 whereas Hirschs requires you to pay R300 for delivery. I honestly tried to avoid extra costs but landed up travelling back and forth and only received our replaced item 3 weeks after resolving. Think twice if after sales service is important to you

Came to Hirchs on mothers day, to purchase a rather pricey coffee machine. Upon testing the machine never pushed out any coffee. The Somerset store had one. I was told if the guy who does pick ups was off and nobody else was available, while there were loads of staff standing around on their phones, apparently only 1 person at the store has a drivers license. The manager was very un-accomadating. I ending up leaving 2 HOURS later with NO MOTHERS DAY GIFT. Thanks Hirchs.

They dont answer the phones the first 2 calls and then they just leave you on hold for over 5 minutes as they transfer you across departments. Not really great customer service in my opinion. They need a better system of dealing with telephonic queries

I needed to purchase a new brush for my vacuum cleaner and was told the serial number was needed. I gave this to your assistant that it could only be answered via an email request. I find this absurd, I am 73 years old and have the privilege of wifi, but how many other seniors have the same facility.

The pick-up for me was a bit delayed, I was standing there for a good 15mins before anyone acknowledged me. Eventually I was helped otherwise it was ok. I did not wait long for the stock to arrive!

I bought an expensive Samsung tv and a microwave. Spent R38k at Hischs Milnerton only to have the microwave not working and the tv remote firstly not delivered with the tv then when it was after a week, the power function didn’t work. I had to drive to Milnerton from CT to resolve and the team wanted to send the microwave in for repairs and would contact me when it’s ready Instead of replacing both items. They also couldn’t find the transaction as the contact number was captured incorrectly on purchase. Other than the salesperson the service was extremely poor

The day we were ready to make our purchase (Thursday),we were forced to buy our Dishwasher, fridge and Washing machine at Taferlbeg because we found the store overcrowded. Too many staff members eager/desperate to make a sale but no Covid protocol of social distance. It made us very nervous

We went to Hirschs yesterday , a mome4nt before closing time. We received outstanding service from Ian and the item we purchased (in the storeroom not on the floor) was delivered before 10 a.m. We will return to Hirschs, now our appliance store of choice.

I bought a washing machine from them included delivery. They disconnected my old machine installed/connected the new one all included as part of delivery! Thats great service.

Horrible aftersales - Part broken on delivery and two months later still trying to get it replaced. Followed up on numerous occasions and nobody can even give me an ETA.

Extremely disappointed with the service I received from Hirsch Milnerton. I bought a set of couches from them , and they arranged delivery via a third party.The external company driver then damaged the bio metrics reader at the gate of my security complex when they left.I informed Hirsch and they agreed to take liability for the damages incurred.The third party was then informed that due to the high costs and value of the systems, as well as the residents personal information on the systems installed ; the estate could not have a non-approved installer working on the system.Three weeks later there was still no correspondence from Hirsch or the delivery partner and the estate was forced to fix the system at their own expense.I have email correspondence with all the proof that Hirsch would sort this matter out but three months later they are still dragging their feet to pay the bill of the damages to the estate!8 July - Just to say that the issue is now being attended to by Hirsch. Thank you to Mia Stoltz for responding as well as subsequent email correspondence. You clearly take customer satisfaction very seriously. I am going to upgrade my rating from a 1 to 3 for now and hope that in the future it will move to 5

So for a cellular service centre this is not the place to go. The tech at hisense could not find the problem with a phone that was there for repair after a long wait for the repair just to be told that they could not fix it and paying for the repair but was still broken. Then I took it to a electronic store that I used and it took him a hole 10min to get the problem and resolve it. What a bunch of wanna be tech...... Waist of time 😤😤😡😡😠😠😠🤬🤬
