My wonderful resting place

I have to admit, initially I was wrong by not letting her know I was going to be late to collect the key. With this being said, it gives her no right to speak to me, the client, as she would a child. She sent me a message starting with “WOW”, not knowing the circumstance of me being late. Once I explained reason for being late, she still communicated with me as if speaking to a child and telling me that she has made arrangements to collect her children at a specific time due to my commitment of time. Once at our destination, she handed me a bulb in my hand telling me one of the lights are fused; she loaded electricity after I was there already. Once the money had exchanged hands, she then only told me that the shower in the en-suite is not working due to a burst pipe, the neighbour is kind of fussy and does phone her when it gets noisy and this will affect my breakage deposit. The remote of the TV in the living room is not working due to the burst pipe, and once she was gone we found cockroaches in the cupboards, cracked glasses, incomplete cutlery in the draw, etc. Since she was so unpleasant to deal with I told her she may leave and I will take photos of anything I find short or broken. I took pictures and sent it to her and after the third pic she told me they know exactly what is short and broken. So I ask why was it not replaced? Once she left I discovered there was no towels, the couch is flimsy in the living room, and once opened found that the material was torn.The gate works with a phone, we utilized it three times and when we wanted to leave in the morning to go sight-seeing the gate didnt want to open, at that moment a car moved in and we moved out and I sent her a whats app informing her of this and she told me we must have utilized the airtime, and in turn I took a photo of the screen showing that we have not utilized the phone and she loaded the airtime. The Friday night we were contacted more than twice informing us that we are making a noise. I do understand it is a residential area, however then they should not hire the place out to 8 people, as we tried not to make a noise but if 8 people are in one place you cant expect complete silence. Once we were outside as we not allowed to smoke inside, the neighbour approached us, and I respect her for that being her home but what I do have a problem with is that we paid to be there and we were too afraid to upset anybody as I was reminded that we could be asked to leave without getting our money back. I would not advise anybody in a group bigger then 4 to stay there. I am upset for the manner I was treated and so too my friends that were there with me. The hostess needs to sharpen up on her people skills and as nice as the place may be it is not advised to go there as 8 grown people. (You should probably only go there if you are a couple that likes to sit in silence and enjoys reading books instead of talking). I know I was all over the place now but such a lot has happened that I was not happy with and I was trying to mention as much as I could.But apart from that, the getaway was nice…

I’ve been living there for about 10 years. The best years of my life! Friendliest staff and amazing neighbors. It even gots a swimming pool. 10/10 👍
