I cannot explain sufficiently just how happy we are that we dealt with Ambassador Doors and Windows, from their prompt measuring to their prompt installation. Their very reasonable price, their friendly office staff, their absolutely beautifully manufactured doors that work like a dream, their jovial and extremely professional team of installers who installed the doors perfectly. Even down to the guy who seals the outer edges with silicone, I have never seen such attention to detail. Well done guys and Thank You It was an absolute pleasure doing business with you.

Very happy with Ambassador. We had some rain on installation day but the team handled it like champs and did an excellent job. The service has really been fantastic, definitely going to use them again soon!

Ambassador just completed a complicated turnkey project at my home and they were so professional.Replaced all my wooden windows and doors with aluminium.I had 1st class advice and they worked out all the potential problems so easily. I thought it would be so simple.The teams on site were wonderful guys and were really caring for my home during this project.Glad I went with them.

Horrific experience with Ambassador doors. From delivering the wrong parts on multiple occasions, poor workmanship, to doing an inadequate job on varnishing, the list goes on.It would be unethical for me to recommend this company. Our property development company was looking at using them on a larger multi -residential development and used the small project in question to test them out. Dodged that bullet.If you for whatever reason decide to use this company, please make sure you hold at least a 10% retention amount util you are completely satisfied with the work.All the responses from the company on the poor ratings are a clear indication that customer service is not something they take seriously.There are plenty of other companies out there that would love the work.

I recently did a renovation on my flat in Fishhoek. I was not personally involved with the sub contractors, but Ambassador Doors and Windows was sub contracted to replace all of the windows and frames. The entire project has run smoothly, but has been dragged down by poor workmanship and disgusting service from Ambassador Doors and Windows.Ambassador was contracted to replace multiple wooden sash windows and a large aluminum frame in an arch at the front of the flat.Firstly, the aluminum window frame was an absolute disaster in which they failed to build it to properly fit the arch. They were brought back multiple times. The final result that I saw in December when I visited the flat had air gaps between the aluminum frame and glass. By this point, the project manager had requested a refund for the aluminum frame and we have now had this redone by a different supplier. The new supplier also ran into one or two difficulties (I believe that it is tricky to fit an arch), however, they managed to conclude the work to our satisfaction.Secondly, Some of the sash windows were installed without working mechanisms. I believe that they are missing counterweights. At this stage, Ambassador Doors and Windows is refusing to take calls from my project manager and we are having to pay someone else to resolve these issues.Lets see if I get the same arrogant response that other negative reviews have received.Edit after fake review post:LOL, my opinion of this company keeps getting better and better. I presume the attached image is your quote - or perhaps you want to suggest I went to the trouble of forging it? Also, I have a record of 3 payments into your account.Anyway, I dont have time to keep going with this. Already resigned myself to paying more to conclude the work you didnt complete properly. Just want to let others know about my experience.

Bona View (Big Bay) First a BIG thanks making a DREAM come true having an Enclosed Balcony/Patio that looks the part! Seriously, the guidance/support received in doing whats best for the enclosure by you guys was just AWESOME! Tx John! . As a life-long South African, poor quality and service is not something that startles me. But, occasionally one experiences something so unique that you have to share it.I used Ambassador in 2018 to supply sliding doors and windows for an extension to my house. All Meranti with factory fitted double-glazing, about R200ks worth.The list of issues I had is far too long to detail here, but the highlights include cracked glass, door handles at random different positions (9cm height variation between different doors, 2cm on same door - see picture), window handles that fall off (literally screwed in 2-3mm from the edge of the wood) and 8-9mm gaps between windows and frames at the hinges.And that was before the first winter storms arrived. Double glazing does not help much when the wind and rain blow straight through the gaps...During the entire process and all the comebacks I was told the the owner was furious with the people who made these doors, but he never had the decency to return any of my phone calls. He also apparently did not consider it worth while employing anybody to actually inspect his product before shipping it off to the customers.After about 5 visits from them to repair issues I gave up and repaired the rest myself. Lesson learnt. Avoid.If I could give them -5 stars I would.

I had some wooden doors made by Ambassador. They look fantastic! I have been getting so many compliments on them, the quality is remarkable! I was also very happy with their after sales service, Marisca is very efficient.

We installed stacker doors from Ambassador a few years ago. We had some issues with rust on some of the parts because we live close to the ocean. Marisca handled my complaint in an exceptional manner! And the team that came out to our premises were excellent. Thank you for superb service Marisca, especially a few years down the line from the time the doors were installed....

Terrible service and workmanship. Windows dont close properly, door handle rusted in a month, etc etc. Ambassador didnt even finish the job/project - they just walked away and said I must get somebody else to complete the project!!Stay away!!!

I took delivery of a palace door costing R9900.00 on 03/10/19The door and frame looked all out of shapeI contacted Peter who came out the next day and assured me once my builder fits the door everything should be okay.My builder was having trouble fitting the door the next day as the two metal clips around the wheels was screeching and damaging the bottom track....I contacted ambassador doors on 07/10/19I explained to Peter that weve been without doors sleeping couple days already.I almost begged him to send out someone to come and tell me what the problem is and if my builder s mistake , then ambassador should point out that mistake to us. Peter told me he will only be available on Thursday 17/10. He did not comeThen I phoned him this morning 18/10. He assured me he will be at my place by 12.moon. an I am still waiting on PeterI gathered that because I did not accept from ambassador to fit the door at R3000.00 they are not prepared to attend to anything. Let alone One yr warranty on that rubbish lock which is inevitable to break sometime as it very tight and difficult in turning key....So, to all those customers who intend having their own installers, bewareSies Peter.

The worst service I received after paying them 97% of the total amount. They left my site yesterday, leaving the doors opened and 1 without a window. No decency to contact the customer. I only saw it today, huge gaps and no weather or security protection! Tried to get hold of PJ and John. John has read my whatsapp message and refused to take my call begging him to send somebody to at least secure and waterproof the open areas. The workmanship is a disgrace and all products paid for are not delivered yet.I am extremely dissatisfied with their customer service. Once the orders has been signed, feels like all sense of delivering as expected disappear. The products delivered are in a worst state as the 43 year old products still installed.Gustave Moller

The pre-installtion service was great. John was friendly, on time, knowledgeable. The product and instillation is so bad though that I would never ever use them again. There are gaps between the window and frames, the fixed panes of the sliding doors are loose, the entrance door doesns close. They cut corners by initially using my own wooden floors as packs. Their own installer, who had to come out to fix things was taken back at how poor the installation was. A year later now, and we are still fixing things. Not once did anybody from management or any of the owners bother to come out and have a look at their shoddy work.
