My mom and dad have been going to Dr for more than 7 years, and most importantly, my dads health have improved tremendously!I most definitely recommend Dr to anyone, especially those with sports injuries!Youll thank me again, but dont believe me! After a year of main stream doctors and heavy antibiotics for a two year old I went to this doctor . He realized the problem on first consultation and my child’s nose by that night stopped running and cough subsided drastically . He is is amazing . My own friends and family could not believe how much better she was within two days . He basically diagnosed her with an allergy. Highly recommend him. Lovely man . Great doctor .

Dr. Essop has been my doctor since the early 1980s.He is still our family doctor today.I have the utmost respect for him and his work ethic.He is caring, empathetic and kind. He takes care of our entire family...from my 6 year old granddaughter to my 80 year old mother.I highly recommend him!He reminds me of the doctors of old...he is patient and attentive and makes one feel completely at ease. He has dropped everything to make a home visit to my Mom on a Sunday afternoon. I dont know another doctor who would do that.The world needs more doctors....more people like him.May God bless him always.

Ive read the other reviews on this site and I am appalled that there is even one that goes against the trend of unstinting praise for this practitioner all the others reflect. That one reviewer couldnt possibly be talking about the same man I was recommended to by a friend (thanks Janice!) and whom I found to be a gem of a human being and doctor.Dr. Essop, my only regret is that I did not get to know of your existence earlier in my life , which (as you know) is now just a month away from the threescore years and ten mark! However, suffice it to say that, had I been aware of what a fantastic credit you are to your profession, I would have cast my considerable shadow over your doorstep much sooner. Take no note of the one dissenter on this page. Dr. Essop has been my doctor for the past couple of months now and it has changed my life. I have been struggling with bipolar disorder for 7 years and after several different doctors and medications Dr. Essop was the first doctor that was able to really help me. Little by little over a few months I changed into a whole new person that I always thought is not possible for someone struggling with mental illness and it truly was just from a natural product and nothing I did on my own. He is also very warm, loving and friendly that puts you more at ease and thus feel safe and secure. He really gives the sense that he cares and are not after your money.

Dr Essop has been my Dr for the many many years. He has helped my grand kids, kids, parents and myself with all our health issues be it minor flu and cold or major such as 3rd degree burns of my 2 and a half year old. He has an Impeccable bedside manner, is polite, caring, understanding and friendly. As a competing fitness athlete on a National level , some would go to Physios , Biokineticists etc . , I chose Dr.Essop simply because of his knowledge around the function and the recovery of the body , for those that will know the sciences behind this will understand. Since my recovery treatments with Dr.Essop , I have not broken down , picked up any injury or even some form of viral infection that would limit my chances of succeeding leading up to a comp.We have extreme training programs and for that recovery and proper nutrition is key . Point is , I was amazed at Docs methods applied , the theory behind them and then of course the living proof (myself) ...Highly recommended , pleasant , humble , thorough and most definately caring...I threw him in the deep end with my challenges brought to him and he swam to victory , we prayer that you live for long so that you can continue the great work you offer to the communities in need...yours in sport Achmat

What an amazing Dr, best health practioner around.

I highly recommend anyone to not go to Dr Essop.My husband, 2 daughters and I had a horrible experience with dr Essop. He was super unfriendly, highly assumptions, gave non homeopathic meds that he claimed was homeopathic, assumed a virus from crèche was mostly dustmight allergies. My 3 year old wouldnt let him examine her because of her fear for doctors after a trauma incident a year ago and he was disturbed saying children should be calm trusting and theres something seriously wrong with her cause she wouldnt let him touch her. He misdiagnosed my husband who is Anaemic by looking at his fingers, trying to get him to use his equipment even though we only went for the one sick child. And he spent most of the time typing a manual discovery claim for us. He wasnt interested in anything our usual homeopathic doctors would want to know. He overcharged us R900. My husband walked out and stressed for weeks after Dr Essop said he had a serious health condition which our homeopath said was untrue. He confirmed the meds he gave wasnt homeopathic too.Homeopathy deals with emotional psychological aspects of conditions rather than the physical as its but a symptom.Our worst doctor experience ever.
