Probably the neatest ablutions I have ever experienced at a camp site. Quiet and reasonably priced. Swimming pool. Can recommend.

If you want to get away from it all, this is the place. Gets full over holidays, but otherwise a great spot to unwind. Stands are small, so better for smaller caravans or trailer tents. Walking distance to beach that’s never busy.

We spent 1 night here in our camper van. Campsites well appointed, shade and wind protected with a fireplace.Ablution facilities were 5 star. Entertainment area and communal braai area great. Close to beach. Great for family vacation.

This was a really nice camp site...a 5 Star camp site. Was very quite and peaceful. But we were there out of season. It is well sheltered from wind as we took a walk to the beach and it was blowing like mad on the beach but at the camp sites was very calm

Very nice stay at Cannon rocks. Relaxed and quiet after season. Well kept grounds, pool and lapa. Friendly staff and fantastic newly renovated ablution facilities. However I can imagine in busy season, 1 facility could be too limited. Will definitely be back.

Lovely place right by the beach. Stayed in Beckmans Cabin.. Small and fits 9, but clean and super affordable. Amazing campsite too: bathrooms are fantastic! Great weekend away with the church!

Very impressed and amazed by this caravan park. The ablution facilities are some of the best for any caravan park/resort in South Africa, they are all literally 5 star ablution facilities and were recently totally revamped from sctratch. The receptionists was very friendly and helpful. We also felt very safe in the park. Will definitely be visiting Cannon Rocks caravan park in the future and I recommend all caravan enthusiasts to make a stop at this place,as it is totally worth it.

Site is great only downfall we never got hot water. We showered at all times of the day and the hottest was luke warm. Told staff the first morning but it did not improve

Clean, lovely beach, but can be crowded over holidays

Clean well kept and sufficient ablutions . We were there in the low season. Probably be fine in high season as well. Stands are reasonably sized but not easy to get into with a caravan. You need to be good at reversing. The problem is the internal roads are narrow and there is not much place for parking your bakkie. In season this will be a problem.Nice walks in the area, good fishing but beach swimming is not great. The park had a pool and a recreation area for general use. The onsite shop caters for the basics and there is a mini market about 3km away.

Absolutely one of the best camping facilities you can ever come across. Always enjoy going there. Ablutions are top quality, compared to other camping venues I have been to. Lovely braai area on your site with grid provided, bins and braai cleared out daily.

The campsite offers sheltered plots, a lovely pool area and clean ablution blocks.Its a short walk the beach with endless white sand, and rockpools for the kids. There is also a 7km bushwalk close by, through coastal forest with a return walk along the beach.Cannon Rocks also sports well maintained tennis courts, and the well known Big Blue Charters if deep-sea fishing is your thing.

How do I review a place so near to perfectionIt has honestly been the best place Ive ever camped in. There is nothing like hearing the ocean from your tent and the wind not effecting you too much because the perfectly placed trees are protecting you.The staff are so super duper friendly that we were checked on twice to see if we were ohk. Although we are an odd bunch of scouts who brings wooden poles to build tables and tools.There is a shop that sells everything from toiletries to chappies. And can you believe it, is open most of the day.They also have a petrol station as you drive in. Just in case.The bathrooms are so immaculate that if you were to drop all your smarties on the floor, the 5 second rule could still apply.Bloggers, influences: the mirror in the bathroom is SO BIG you could record a how to wear Plaid 3 ways YouTube video and your viewers would ask which studio youre in!The only issues I have (and these are tiny when you are reviewing the best campsite in the Eastern Cape) is with the bathrooms doors.The showers dont quite reach the temperature of Hell that I enjoy in the water conscious time we have to shower but it does reach the Sahara in summer so it not too bad. There are plenty of pegs to hang up your bag, toiletries and Towels.The doors shut so tight that without a good push, they feel locked. Now that you know about the bathrooms youll never have to relive my morning.I was lying in, debating the battle of getting up and facing the freezing 3am cold or lying in with discomfort of needing a wee but enjoying the warmth of my bush baby hooded arctic tested sleeping bag (ohk maybe not snow tested but every camper knows the warmth of a good sleeping bag) anyway Im babblingThe need became too great (hearing the ocean waves from my tent didnt help my cause) and it was time to stumble and get shoes on. The race was on and I prepared to be tripping over tent pegs and stumbling through badly lit bushes, as one does at normal camp sites. Oh no not here. With clearly lit walkways and plenty of space between each markated campsite, I got to the prestige loos with ease.... And it appeared that the door was locked. At this point, tears were running down my face to release pressure. I did what any sane women would have done in that situation. I tried the boys bathroom. SameSo I found a bush, squatted and as I was about to release the door swings open. I pulled up my pants so fast as to not show my moonlit bottom to anyone. And went to try this door one last time. Its not a push its a pull.If youre still reading this, I hope you had a giggle. It really has been my favorite camp site so far. With electricity, a bar and pool room, a pool center and television lounge space (which we havent used as weve been keeping the kids outdoors and active on the beach) There is plenty to do and if you are considering this camping grounds, I can garentee it wont disappoint.
