A peaceful walk initially through the dune forest with sightings of Bushbuck and Cape Grysbuck, then a walk back to the start along the beach past an old ship wreck. The walk is moderately strenuous.

Loved this hike, nice shaded start through the bush. Difficult to find the signs over the sand dune to the beach part. Felt very safe and the dog loved it.

A perfect hike through indigenous forest and bush, leading to vast sand dunes and a scenic return via the beach. Took us 2.5 hours on a brisk walk, including at least 30 minutes enjoying the dunes at the end. My oldest two did the walk barefoot; excursions was thoroughly enjoyed by all three teens. My recommendation is that you allow 3h, and enjoy a packed lunch on the dunes. Take drinking water, nothing on route. Wear shoes but take a few back packs to carry them once you get to the dunes. Loads of fun for the energetic.

Be prepared for a walk though, youre not nipping to the beach. Take water and shoes. You walk back along the beach at low tide.

Most enjoyable walk. Well marked trail through the forested part and the beach was stunning. Recommend that you do the walk about 2 hours after low tide. So wonderful to see clean beaches.

Beautiful, reasonably easy walk through the Woody Cape forest and then back along the beach. Watch out for snakes in the summer.

A decent 7 km hike through the rough of Cannon Rocks bush. You can possibly find snakes so beware. It has a really nice built veranda to see over the treeline and take some really nice photos!

Lovely, picturesque walk through a forest which brings you out to immense, breathtaking sand dunes and down onto a stunning, secluded stretch of coastline. The walk is not too strenuous, but you will need some time to complete the loop, so be sure to take water and snacks, and pair of shoes that you can wear for the first part of the walk, and carry back along the beach.

The actual trail is more close to 8.5 km, but the most amazing views. The sand dunes took my breath away. It was so nice to see that people in the area care about this piece of native ground.

Such a great walk. The dunes were fun to navigate. Longer than you might think. Took us just over 2 hours and measured at 7.5kms....but a great way to spend the afternoon.

No marking, therefore dangerous! We had done about half the way (in the forest) and then arrived in the dunes. There were no markings as to how the path would continue. We finally turned around and are back the way we came. We have had a lot of trekking experiences - but we have never seen such bad marking. It is very negligent from Addo Park to send tourists on such a trail. Pity!! Overall, the trail is poorly maintained. Overall not recommended.
