Great experience under 50km from Durban. Genuine local coffee farm. Small batch coffee hand reared and roasted. Family run farm and coffee stall with monthly tours which feature bottomless coffee for less than R70 per person.Home baked sweet treats and quiche available at the coffee stall as well as gifts and souvenirs made from coffee.beautiful grounds with fruit trees and two resident horses among tables under cover or our in the sun. They only have light snacks so pack a picnic if youd like something more substantial.Washrooms were clean and tidy. Area was quiet and peaceful. Would definitely recommend.

For R60 you can get a good tour of the place to understand everything from coffee planting, harvesting right through to production and packaging. Coffee tasting afterwards. Booking essential.

Amazing customer service via email! Told me exactly who they supplied to in Durban, so I was able to grab a few bags for my sister in law overseas. Can’t wait to visit when I’m in town.

Had a fantastic tour and tasting (by appt only). Interesting place and even good for the kiddos. Do yourself a favor and plan a quick visit. Our tour and tasting only took about an hour, which was perfect for the little ones.

We had an awesome experience there today at one of their fantastic pop-up breakfast Open Days ! Assagay Coffee is the best and when they do one of their breakfast mornings the food is to die for !! With a relaxed farmstyle atmosphere and being served by the James family themselves, its more like visiting friends for the morning than eating out. Prices for the breakfasts accompanied by the most delicious coffees produced by Rick, the farm owner himself, were altogether very reasonable.

They have weekly tours (by bookings) at a cost of R60 and its well worth it. They walk you through the entire process from growing the beans to grinding. Afterwards theres a coffee tasting session and you can buy products from the farm store.
