Affordable accommodation that is well positioned to visit all the restaurants and wine farms in town. The room was clean, bed was comfortable and the management was friendly. The most stand out feature for me was the amazing breakfast, not only tasty but beautifully presented. Happy to recommend to anyone passing through Calitzdorp.

Pleasant stay in a quiet town. A welcome stopover.

The facilities are top notch, ideal for traveling solo or with a group of friends. The breakfast is amazing, world class. And the hosts are lovely people. Well worth a repeat visit.

This is an Absolutely Awesome B&B I had the pleasure of staying there for 1 night on the 24 April myself & a friend were on our way to Knysna via Carlitzdorp. We each had our own rooms in the Garden rooms It was so lovely & peaceful there & the hosts very very helpful as I am an elderly gentleman walking with a crutch & cant climb up stairs thats why we got the garden rooms.i will attach photos of the rooms & the cat there just loved my room & spent the afternoon on my bed as I love cats. The garden is so Beautiful you hear nothing but the birds, I wish we could have spent another night there. I give Karoo Life B&B 5 stars the hosts are so friendly they make you feel at home. The Breakfast was Delicious. Thank you for making our stay there so memorable even though it was for 1 night I hope to go back there on my next visit to Carlitzdorp. God Bless Regards Douglas

Best place to stay in Calitzdorp. Fantastic crisp white percale linen and amazing soft bath sheets (super-sized towels!). Perfect hospitality with owner inviting us to an impromptu Argentine steak braai-awesome! Spacious room with huge invite your neighbour shower. Huge thanks to the owner and the managers!

Excellent service friendly staff

Very welcoming and friendly. I was greeted with a glass of Port and shown to my room. This was a double room with a tv, coffee/tea facilities and bathroom with shower only.The room was neat and tidy, had ample blankets and comfortable beds (always a plus)I was told about the make-up of the town and where to find dinner or a wine tasting... I was a little late for the wine-tasting as the farms close at 5, as do most of the restaurants, if they were even open in the first place...Breakfast was a standard full English which was satisfying, along with some coffee and orange juice.It was exactly what I thought it was going to be, a comfortable place to put my head down for the night.I will definitely make use of this spot again if I ever find myself travelling through Calitzdorp again, judging by the beauty of that Route 62, it might just happen again sooner rather than later.

The Karoo Life Hotel certainly lives up to its reputation, we were greeted with a small glass of local nectar which was so smooth. The accommodation offered was ideal for families. Breakfast was a klien (small) Karoo or a groot (large) Karoo, what a choice the meal was first great start to the day. Friendly and obliging staff, but be prepared for mosquitos.
