I was very impressed by the quality, friendliness and service. The food was delicious, my burger was juicy and perfectly cooked and the chicken schnitzel looked delicious. The waitress was on the ball, friendly and very helpful. I was also pleasantly surprised by the prices and would definitely recommend you stop by; If youre in the area, I cant see any reason not to.

My wife and I stopped in as we had been told there was fresh pasties de nata. The vibe was very relaxed and friendly. My wife gravitated towards their in house cat immediately. The pasties were warm and delicious. We had a reservation else were so we werent able to try any of their other offerings. I look forward to the opportunity to do so.

Food took more than an hour for fish and chips which was sliced and oily. The food is over priced for the quality and quantity. Not even a bit of salad to accompany the meal.

When the food eventually arrived it was delicious. Customers who arrived after us received their meals before us. Perhaps they needed more staff during Calitzdorp Uncorked weekend. Take this as positive criticism and work on your service and customer satisfsction.

Lovely Portuguese restaurant. The anti pasto is a visual and tasting delight, among the best Ive had around the globe. Can highly recommend the espetada super friendly hosts and staff added to the great experience

The owners are friendly and very welcoming. Pets are welcome. Food is to die for. Loved my seafood curry best Ive ever had.

Cant say much as after two hours no food arrived and we walked out. Not even a small basket of bread while we waited. They seemed totally overwhelmed and the kitchen clearly couldnt cope. They should have advised us to go elsewhere as they clearly knew it would be a long wait. Very overpriced too!

The food here was very good. I had peri-peri chicken livers for starters and lamp chops for mains; highly recommend. Very well prepared and amazingly tasty. Good value for money. Unfortunately didnt take any photos. The owners, Henry and Michelle, of the restaurant is also very pleasant people.

2nd time round dissapointing!! pity owners always smoking and drinking...show no interest at all on whether you are happy with your food....more interested in having drinks with their friends

We spent the weekend at the Winter Festival in Calitzdorp and had a special braai lunch on Fathers Day. It was the best meal of the weekend. Friendly service and great food. Would recommend strongly.

A beautiful little Portuguese restaurant in Calitzdorp where even strangers are treated like family. Owned and run by a Portuguese family this restaurant offers wonderful and delicious cuisine (I recommend the chicken) and a lovely atmosphere for all to enjoy. Whether you are passing through or staying the night this is the place to stop for dinner!

Slowest service ever and limited Portuguese offering on the menu. Order was wrong too. Hosts made excuses which did not wash. The lamb chops were expensive but tasty. The taste saved the review from 1 star.

A long road and a desperate need for a cup of tea brought us in here. Nice surprise. Great menu and priced well. In spite of loadshedding, I encountered very friendly and helpful staff. This place has a homely and welcome feel, and borders on romantic. I found the place to be clean, which is scarce lately. Would I recommend it? Definetaly.

Worst possible experience!! The waitress should have warned us that the chicken is still frozen, and that we should choose another dish. After 2 hours of waiting the chicken was served raw. My son fell ill because he had a small piece. How do you run a Portuguese restaurant and on Fathers Day you have frozen chicken!!!

The food is so so. The staff friendly. The owner and his wife/partner are disinterested, and unhelpful. Both just sit on the stoep chainsmoking and drinking with their friends.

So glad that they were open for a late breakfast. Fabulous people, delicious food.

Pitty good food but only true Portuguese dish is served for dessert.They show a Chains we Rottisiere on the entrance wall, remove it as you are not that standard.Cutlery,crockery,glasses to start are not in that league. Your food is not cook over the spot rotisierre and way beyond that level standard of cooking.If you offer quail eggs served it.Rather keep to basic Portuguese dishes and stop humaliting yourself.Good luck

Home made bread is available for purchase daily.Deon and Mize are your hosts and resident artists. Mize is a potter and Deon does beautiful etchings and painting. Their work is available for purchase at the restaurant.Open for Lunch and Dinner 7 days a week (in Winter the hours change)

The prawns were badly fried, tasted of nothing, had hardly any meat on them and were incredibly difficult to peel. The side dishes were half raw and tasteless. Operation incredibly slow and rarely showed up. In the kitchen, the cook had been coughing for food all the time. (Could be seen from the square)Overall, very dissatisfied.
