Used to work here,for more than ten years.The old hands are few,but theyre very loyal and dedicated,to the institution.Even more so,to the cared for and well looked after elderly,that they love and treat with utmost respect.Who immediately comes to mind are the nurses;Sonia Swarts and Lorna Joseph.The residents get spoiled,at Christmas time and special days,by family,friends and management,in particular,the Head of the institution,Johan Pelser,always assisted by his right hand Sandy Labuschagne.They get full support,from the local farmers and clubs,that donate large amounts of produce and money.They also organise entertainment and special events.Even the community dont hesitate,to donate what they can,for fund-raisings.The shop-assistantManie,help them when shopping,by carrying their goods and make sure they dont fall.Elmarie is more than just the secretary and Human Recourse Representative.Shes always willing to assist in any way possible and go through great lengths,to solve your problems,or questions.Shes definitely a big asset for the institution.The kitchen staff try very hard,to prepare food,according to everybodys different needs(believe me,they can be VERY picky eaters)The RNs can help with your medical queries.Just wish that there could be a way,to give larger increases and better salaries to the nurses.
