Great camping and caravan park. Clean and tidy ablutions and washing up Area. Unfortunately no shop on premises, but you can buy wood and ice at reception. Also has small restaurant. Great for boating enthusiasts. Has a separate fishing area. Has swimming pools.

What a great spot to take your family and your boat and enjoy the Dam.It was very busy this weekend but everything just worked.Great parking bays for all the trailers after you have launched your boatOne small thing I wish for was the Ramp could be slightly more accommodating for smaller cars, Bakkies have no issues but reception arranged that the tractor help me get my boat out at the end of the day.Beautiful place, Great shade, clean and just a Lekker place to be for the day.Thank you!

Very neat and clean. Worth it. Only reason for the 4stars..we had a deluxe room, very spacious but no coffee sachets like the other rooms or place to buy if you book in late. Our family really enjoyed our stay...

Its well kept, but when it gets busy the ablutions require more visits by the cleaners. The camping sites are nice and large (camping on grass). Weekends are very busy so get there early to get a good spot close to the dam. Boat launching area available there as well. NO fishing allowed from the banks which is awesome, so no fishing lines or hooks to worry about. Kids can run around and play, there are swimming pools and a supertube. The self catering rooms require some maintenance, bit of paint should do the job. It always a nice outing, will definitely go back regularly.

Kaia Manzi is very clean and neat and it was a lovely camping experience. We will definitely book again especially now that they are building private ablutions on certain stands.

The place is beautiful, rooms are neat and well maintained. The view of the dam is so refreshing. Enough camping sites and the food was well prepared. I recommend it

Went for a bit of R + R which was great but being there during the week not much to keep you entertained and fishing was a struggle as the dam is covered in duckweed which reaches way out into the dam. But otherwise a good rest from the rat race during covid 19 restrictions.

The place generally is a good and serene place. Good for partying, family or evwn couples outingOur personal big dissapointment was when we were booked in a room with a leaking toilet. Imagine the disgust and unhygienic exposure. Well we were expected to wait at the canteen and drink tea, then it was aroud 6p.m. , so that the fix it.We did not want to wait, they offered us another room which was unfortunately carpeted and we specifically did not want carpeted room on our original request.When we asked for a solution the manager on duty confidently answered I DONT KNOW She then offered a more expensive room were we supposed to top up the original booking. How can you expect that from clients that came in at a planned budget. She refused to even offer a discounted price. I found that being unprofessional, lack of managerial skills and no clue of problem solving skills. Mind you, it was cold as we were waiting at the reception. This affected the raiting that attracted me to the place in the 1st place. Day 1 we felt undermined and disregarded

Loved the view, caught some fish although 2 got stolen the unit was lovely the shower thou had an issue, the people there are lovely and friendly definitely going back

Mainly geared for day visitors to the dam and fishing. Very clean camp site. Ablution block was clean. I did think that R790 for 1 bedroom with bathroom ensuite was expensive. Otherwise its worth a visit.

It’s a lovely place but far too full on weekends. Accommodation is marginal and too expensive for what it is.

Great service, very clean ,very safe, Dam is very clean too.... shops are 2 min away incase you forgot anything, our first visit we enjoyed it alot.Reason for 4 stars,there are clear signs at the dam front saying no fishing obviously because of all the boats.The place was very busy and everyone had large bakkies and campers. So much so That the sign hidden in the bushes thats says.FISHING AREA ^>>>> this waywas only NOTICED when everyone had packed up and we were departing. Best place to take your family and feel safe and relaxed we caught some nice size bass & a few moster 10kg + Carps. Very clean and healthy eco system. And weather it matters to you or Not. no BRAVOS 👤👤👥 in site.

We did not have hot water on theusday night in the mens showers 27/4/21.

Excellent venue for trail running.We visited today 5/12/2020 and I was amazed at how rude the person at the gate was......hence the reason I changed my rating .With this attitude u wil not get more visitors........

Clean and beautiful camp site

Lovely area. Peaceful and safe. Away from the rat race with splendid views of the lake. Just visiting this time, but at night one can see the multitude of stars clearly, and the silence is almost deafening. A stunning area indeed.

This is a very nice place and clean.

To many day visitors, no place to park your boat. Campsite very noisy at night although the are signs saying no loud music. Management do not force the rule.

Clean bathrooms (love the family bathrooms), neat and well kept gardens. The children enjoyed the crisp clean swimming pools especially the super tube.

Great location for a camp out. The place e has several pools and a water slide that safe for the kids especially if you have kids under 10. The depth of the pool by the slide is deep enough for even a 5 year old to stand on their feet. This place is also great for day visitors to have a picnic or braai right by the shores of the dam. There several fishing spots to throw the line from. On the down side and I say this kindly because such things are to be expected, the ablution blocks are kept very clean and tidy. Only fault would be the water pressure in the showers. The hot water wasnt constant and often during a shower , you would get cold spells. The campsite lights right by the braai area werent working. Im not sure why. Overall its a great spot and very safe. The best thing for me was a lack of loud music. There is a nice play ground for the kids and you can definitely bring along a bike or scooter for them to paddle along the pathways. There is an OK convenience store and garage less than a km from Kaia Manzi which is stocked with almost everything you are likely to forget packing and a liquor store too.

Really enjoyed my stay at Kaia Manzi. Green grass everywhere, and braai stands abound through the property. The restaurant and conference facilities are a nice touch to. Staff are friendly and welcoming and the toilet and ablution facilities are always kept clean and stocked. Definitely a place I will recommend to anyone that I meet.

The resort is well laid out and the staff is very friendly. The campsites are large.. There are lots of trees, but they are small and there is no shade in the camp site. In the restaurant, our order was prepared in record time and everything was fresh. Here again, we sat outside to enjoy the view, but the lack of shade made it less pleasurable. The swimming pools are small and not heated as advertised. The function hall is large. Overall we enjoyed it. We will visit again.

I suppose it would appeal to some, not my cup of tea.

Great day out! Bathrooms are old, but clean and tidy. Nice green grass and big trees. If you arrive early enough, you might be lucky enough to get a spot under a canopy. Rentable lapa available with dedicated braai and basin.

Great resort with friendly staff who are helpful and very professional. Very clean ablutions in the grounds, well furnished rooms but would recommend a small fridge in the room standard room. I think the cottages are equipped. Grounds are immaculate with great facilities. Restaurant needs lots of attention and is not up to standard. For the price charged the food presented was a RIP off. The restaurant was a major disappointment to the whole visit. With the exception to the restaurant the resort is top notch and will become a regular venue for us.

Great for families, our son loved it. Facilities in rooms are very basic, but comfortable enough for weekend break. Nice pools and tube for kids to play around, plenty space for young ones to cycle and run around.Edit: just been there after a long while, still neat, clean and fun!

Very nice and clean. Caravan sites are level and well maintained. Dam is very clean, as are surrounds. Just need to sort out the hot water problem, but we will go back.

Clean and well maintained camp site with lawn. Spacious camping stands, hygienic and clean ablution blocks, electricity on stands and beautiful scenic view. Children playground is remarkable. Pools are sparkling. Noise can be a discomfort from a pocket of some few and isolated campers. Trust this will be resolved. Thats is the only downside.

Water pressure in the showers not great, but understandable as it is a camping site, very well kept and clean. Extremely safe!! For the price you pay, it would be great to have a grill for your braai area!!! What is the use of a braai with no grill!!!

Camped here early 2018. Bathrooms are old in comparison with well managed resorts. Always had hot water. Unless you have a boat, which we dont have this resort is not for campers who are used to camping at conventional resorts with lots to do. Should we decide to go there again, it will for a day outing.

Nice place to go for the weekend with your boat. Has a super tube and 2 small swimming pool to entertain the kids. But the main attraction is the dam for boating. And book in advance for a stand under a tree, as these are rare

Surprisingly nice conference facility, nothing fancy but great nonetheless and the food is always excellent. Really affordable and only an hr out of Johannesburg. Staff are great!

Bathrooms has been like the current ststus for the past 3years that we have camped there. Not sure why management cant see the status thereof. The resort is otherwise fine...grass was bit long this weekend. Only the bathrooms should be upgraded.

Green grass and a lot of vrees for shade, abblutions are clean and visitors are kept in line with no load music or unorderly conduct. People respect each other and we enjoyed the boating as there was enough space to park your boat or jetski. Really nice place for a family outing and great water fun. No fishing allowed so go enjoy the dam with your boat.

One of my favorite places its set in a beautiful environment. With the convenience of the dam, restaurant, nice rooms, campsite with great ablution, a church on sundays. close to shop’s and much more. Will see me again!!!!

We stayed in the rooms for one night to attend a wedding down the road. They should WARN everyone staying overnight that the hotel rooms are literally on top of a church which has an early morning Sunday service ... I absolutely would not have booked a room here for that purpose. A late night away with my wife, and kids at home with a babysitter, and a LONG overdue lie in completely ruined - especially since when you drive in to the place it specifically says no loud music. I have nothing against an early morning service but it should have been mentioned somewhere ... Myself and about 8 other wedding guests were simply not told of this at booking or checking in. Completely ruined any other positive reason to stay there

It was great, the only issue is the shower temperature. Its either scolding hot or ice-cold

Ablutions were clean and the staff were friendly, seemed a little over priced though unless you were boating there. We only made use of the camping facilities.
