So nice seeing the guests coming back to the hospitality industry. Can see the staff are hungry to serve and make guests feel special. The manageress from the spa phoned through our food order to the restaurant and as we walked in the waitress immediately knew who we were and our food was served within 5 min. Warm, fresh, tasty and ample. Impeccable service👌👌. Cant wait for summer to see this place bloom. Well done to management and staff.

Budget friendly accommodation with an exclusive Bakwena Day Spa, with a view that is so tranquil. Kids play area. Next to the R512. Restaurant and bar on-site. Nice for a day outing. Room was spacious and had a tea/coffee station.

A quaint place to spend the night when staying at Harties. The staff are friendly and helpful and the facilities having that old school holiday feel that is missing in a lot of hotels. Rooms were clean and gardens well kept. Only complaint is a lack of maintenance in the rooms. The shower head was so blocked that i had to spend some time uncloging the nozzles before I could shower. The toilet seat lid was loose and kept falling off. For the price per night I would have expected these little issues not to be present. Improve on maintenance and you would get a full 5 stars.

Terrible. The restaurant had no food. No kiddies menu. No chicken. Only beef and pork. The excuse was that it was busy yesterday. However this is a tourist area. You would think the owners would be prepared for holiday weekends. I will not be coming back. Not even a second thought.

We had the wonderful pleasure of spending a night at this cosy hotel this past weekend, Saturday 17th April 2021. I must thank each and every staff from the reception to the kitchen to the bar. Every staff member of this hotel treated us soooo well and did everything to make us comfortable...even keeping the fire going just to keep us warm. A BIG THANK YOU....WE WILL BE BACK SOON.

The food was not good(supper ), atleast the breakfast was better. The room that we slept on there was no hot water we had to go bath in other peoples rooms. The aircon was not working for me I was not happy.

Booked this place for two nights for a suprise staycation for my aunt. It was a last minute booking as we were swamped with activities. Loved the location, its very serene and private, and that really is the icing on the cake for me! Its definitely a place where you can relax, unwind, inhale fresh air and regroup. The place was also very clean and the staff was very lovely. However more improvement can be done menu wise as the dinner menu was limited!! Breakfast was something to definitely write home about!! They have a toffee yoghurt to die for!! I have never eaten that anyway in the world.

Lovely little get away on way to Hartees. Beautiful big pool and jungle gym for kids. Outside chess needs a bit of tlc. Amazing strawberry daiquiri 😍🍓

Place is a great location , close to all the scenery and sight seeing, firstly I would like to say the board and sign outside is misleading because it says the place offers a braai area of which is not true, when we got there they monitor what food is in the luggage, basically you cannot bring in food as it is not a self catering area yes, but also we arent allowed to order outside only use the hotel bar and restaurant, Ive been to one/five star places and this is not the case so why are they only allowing us to get food from the bar only?we are adults here and this is not boarding school.The breakfast was nice they had fresh croissants and the staff was a bit tense not all of them are friendly or willing to help, on one night it was raining heavily and the room telephone didnt work even after i notified the guys at the bar to send someone to have a look at it, so I had to walk all the way in the rain and go back again in the soaking weather to check our orders !!Pool is clean and no issues there. and was really nice to hear the lions roar.

The place has very good potential, however it seems like a management issue. Very limited staff trying their best to keep people happy. The one guy is running around taking orders and busy sorting other things out, the restaurant has no order. There is a limited menu to choose from. Our stay was not pleasant we had no running water in our rooms and no wifi coverage.

Staff is exceptional, security is tight and the grounds are wonderful but cleanliness of the showers, balcony, sinks must be improved. Additionally a bar fridge, Iron, hair dryer and a 2 pin adapter is crucial and should be placed in every room please. Thank you 🙏🏾

How disappointing our stay was at The Venue Hotel in Hartebeespoort.Im not sure where to start so Ill start at the beginning of our stay!1) We got there and NOT one Covid protocol was followed, no one reminded us to sterilize our hands, the stand was hiding behind the entrance, no temperatures were taken or recorded so at this lodge Covid is not an issue.2) The receptionist BARELY greeted us, with NO MASK on and seemed rather annoyed we were distracting her from whatever she was busy with. She had ZERO personality, unfriendly and barely offered us the information we needed.3) When I made the reservation we were told we cant use the pool due to covid and then well no one bothered to update us that things have changed and that we could make use of the pools. So there was a poolside relaxation opportunity missed.4) We got to a room that was COMPLETELY mediocre and needed a sh*t load of work, the sliding door screamed each time you tried to open and close it. The bathroom handles are falling off and there arent even covers over the light switches. One of the plug points had melted and couldnt be used so the bedroom was a disaster in and of itself.5) At no point were we advised we were allowed to bring our own drinks as the other guests around the pool had cooler box after cooler box of drinks while we had to order from the bar.6) Anyway sitting down to lunch I had to ask the waiters to put their masks on, again no Covid at this resort, very lax and nonchalant. No protocols are cares were taken.7) Thereafter an evening at the spa, we returned to a room thats plugs had tripped and had to call for assistance. Then the kettle wouldnt work and to top it off the wifi couldnt be fixed.What makes me super sad is that I staked my 8 year anniversary on this place and it was so terrible, I booked it for my husband and I and I was so embarrassed, just so you know we ran out of there to rather pay for breakfast somewhere else because we couldnt bring ourselves to being there any more. My recommendation, dont go!

Its an okay place. But please dont pay for the food, its a joke. Rather get yourself KFC or something.The staff is very friendly and the rooms are clean and affordable.Dont hold your breath for WiFi, its a myth.

The staff were exceptional and always going over the top to look after us. We booked in last minute and they made the process so easy, they also gave us a king size room with a garden view although we only booked a double room. Ot was spotless with very good air-con! Food was also delicious at both dinner and breakfast. Would definitely come back!

Worst experience ever...how do you continuously allow people to book knowing exactly that the place has no running water? I am beyond dissapointed...looking at the hotel reviews, i think someone must really take charge and fix all these issues or this place will not survive. I wouldnt reccomend to anyone .

The location of the hotel is perfect, few minutes drive from fun places like lion and safari park, and opposite lesedi cultural village. The fresh air is abundant....the view of mountains all around the place is amazing. The rooms were always clean and the bed very comfortable. I loved my stay there for three nights.

We arrived at the venue paid at reception and was handed the Key to the room, which is relatively small. The bathroom had a foul smell And the the curtains were torn. To top it all....... there we cockroaches in the room. Unfortunately I had to select 1 star, I would actually rate it a 0 And its a 3 star hotel. The service we got was poor after addressing our concerns. The venue was not even a reasonably priced. Disappointed... I will not return there again

This place is great, we stopped over for a night and then hit the road the next morning after a good breakfast!The rooms have massive extra large double beds and all the basic amenities including internet!There is a beautiful view and awesome gardens with a swimming pool and also well hidden full sized billiards table!The staff are very capable of handling any challenges that may arise and they go the extra mile!I would definitely stay here again!

This must be one of the most relaxing places Ive visited in a while. I couldnt have selected a more perfect time. Refreshing, quiet and friendly welcoming service. The rooms were neat, the restuarant had a great menu and I spent most of my time having drinks at the pool. I would recommend this place anytime and will definitely visit again.They also have a Spa on the premises, bar and pool table. The perfect place to take a break from a busy lifestyle. The hospitality of the hotel staff was impeccable. They went out of their way to assist wherever necessary. Security has been upgraded at the hotel. Beautiful setting with decent rooms. My experience at the nearby Bakwena Day Spa was also superb.

Loved the spa there. The setting is gorgeous. Have not tried the hotel yet..love to.. a consideration for older folks..walking over the lil stream..would be great..

The place is good, wokers are very caring. Or i should say their hospitality of all the workers was perfect. Food I really enjoyed it. But one thing though which was poorly is the T.V. was not good at all. I went there been read of someone s experience on the wireless network that wasnt good but I find an improvements on that because I did enjoy the wireless network connection.

We had an enjoyable evening couple spa and sleepover at the hotel. The hotel has a lot of potential, but there were a few things that could be improved. The room was clean and comfortable, but lacked a few basic things like a hairdryer. There is a notice that says you cannot bring food and drinks onto the property but no mention was made of room service and the phone in the room did not work. No help was offered with our luggage. There seems to be an overall stock issue as the hotel did not have several options on the menu available e.g hamburgers, sauvignon blanc wine, etc. There was also no juice at breakfast as it was out of stock. The spa had no still water as it was also out of stock. At 9 in the morning we were locked out of our rooms and the neighbors had the same problem. I am not sure if we were supposed to check out at nine as nobody communicated it and there is no information brochure in the room. We really enjoyed the spa a lot. I would love to visit again, but I hope they can sort out some of the issues.

I will highly recommend the Venue and their Breakfast out of this world and friendly staff they have. Patrick at the dinning hall I really appreciate your assistance with my son Njabulo. You were very patient with us and the chefs.

Great value for money and the staff are friendly. There is no fridge in the room which is a little inconvenient.

Room was neat, beautiful surroundings, clean and Sparkling pool. Toni was an excellent host and was always around! However. lunch and supper was average, but breakfast was good! Bar was understocked!

The service was so poor ...the food was poor ..the guy who is a bar man was busy running around serving food ..as well ...so we had to wait for about 30 mins to be served ....I will definitely not recommend

Great for work Conferences. Its nice and quiet, away from city life. Can have mosquitoes at night. They serve good food.

The wedding was lovely, I would not recommend this as a wedding venue though. The reception staff are rude and unhelpful. There was no toilet paper in the toilet, even after we asked for toilet paper. And they said that the area where the wedding was would be private and yet there were loads of people in the pool, making a lot of noise.

The fact that the rooms were not ready to check in at 3 pm when we had a wedding at another venue at 4 pm is absolutely bad management and in my opinion overshadows anything that was good about the place. Showering in a dirty room with unmade beds and foul smelling bathroom is bad bad bad management. Add to the mix a broken shower door, hence flooding ... tap handle coming off in my hand and generally run down, it wasnt a great experience. 4 couples ... all the same bad experience

The spa is awesome. And some of the staff are quite friendly. The only thing i was not happy about was the fact that they were short staffed at the restaurant on the Heritage long weekend. They knew how many people booked for that weekend and the best thing they could have done was get more people to serve us. I waited for more than 2 hours for a chicken salad. The cleaning staff was also inadequate. It took them the whole Sunday to clean our hotel rooms, the linen was not even changed. Not good at all.

This hotel was a few kilometers from a wedding we attended, so stayed overnight here. The accommodation was decent, lovely HUGE beds and air conditioned inside. There is a swimming pool on site and the breakfast is divine.

Very nice conference facilities. The presentation of refreshments and meals are tasteful. The waiters and staff are soooooooo from eskom all.

We have booked in here a few times before and the rooms are nice and cozy, never once had an issue with our stay, however we do pop around for day visits as well to eat at their restaurant but the quality there has dropped immensely and our last visit all the meals were terrible and the floor staff were incompetent as well so getting service was a mission to the point where we wanted to cancel our order and go eat at the lion park next door.

We really enjoyed our stay and the breakfast. Reception and all that stuff very friendly. Only one dislike... there is only one mirror in the room and its in the bathroom so when styling your hair you need a long cable to reach the plug which is by the TV and there is not a shelf in the bathroom for your hairdryer,tongs, hair products and etc so while doing my hair I had to put everything on the sink!

I liked nothing at all. The hotel is not up to standard with what we are being sold online. The rooms showers are horrible, when you shower the water runs out through to the room. We had to pay for ice at a hotel (lol ) shocked for days... Dont get me started on the breakfast, beef n pork sausages mixed in one warmer,the bacon was literally biltong, not a wide variety on food ..if it wasnt for a fact that we paid,I wouldnt have eaten at all.. I definitely rate this a zero (0)
