I was there with my husband and our 2 kids for weekend away. Family room was awesome, clean and tidy. They have everything you need for Family get. Friendly staff, very taste dinner and service was excellent. We enjoyed all activities around the place.

Nice, but probably wouldnt go again.Pros - Staff very friendly. Grounds are kept very clean. Camp terrain is very nicely setup, with each site having a braai, basin and shade, also the bathroom are very nice, clean and modern. Cons - You cannot drive to see the game with your own vehicle, you have to do a game drive at a pretty expensive price. All activities you have to pay for. The road to the reserve is NOT caravan friendly.All in all, a nice place, but seeing that its a game reserve and I went to enjoy the animals and drive around in the field(as majority of of game reserves allow you to do - thats the whole point of visiting a reserve) and not being able to do so, I will not be visiting them again. If its because of fear of poaching, rather sell the leopard(locked in a cage) and appoint a ranger to protect the animals and make it free for all to enjoy.

I love camping here. The atmosphere of the bush, the facilities, the clean and neat ablutions, all contribute to an amazing experience.

Tranquility ~ potent medicine for the soul! It is truly beautiful: the natural vegetation, the animals, the accommodation, everything! Real fun activities such as paintball and horse back riding, etc also availabble. What i loved was the animals roaming almost in our chalet. Excited to see the lions. Best part? The SUPERB bedding; i slept like a baby!!!! ❤️🖤💚Good vibes!!

This is the second time I booked a lunch at Amanzi and was not disappointed. The food is tasty and well portioned, I was not wanting more when done. Staff were friendly and helpful. Perhaps it is due to covid that the restaurant area had very few guests compared to my first visit when all tables were occupied. It is an easy drive from Bloemfontein if you are looking for something different on a Sunday. Their accommodation offers good variety to suit all pockets and could be ideal for those looking to make a weekend break away.

Tiger sanctuary with monkeys was very good...Very short hiking trail... I expected longer....Great view on the mountain....Good food in the restaurant... I was satisfied

Big and clean ablutions at the camp site

(1) uncoordinated reception on the number of persons coming. (2) receptionist asking for payment upon checkout when payment is already fully paid before the trip. (3) check-out took so long (4) dining room and lounge is so dim you cant hardly see your food at night.

I cannot recommend staying at this game reserve enough. I was there only for one night, but the service impressed me greatly.The guesthouse room I stayed in was spacious and comfortable, the Free State scenery breathtaking, and the food truly delicious (I highly recommend trying the venison potjie and peanut butter milkshake).

We absolutely love going to Amanzi. Great service clean, awesome game drive and lovely pools and restaurant! Lovely relaxing getaway!

We were there with ladies 2celebrate valantine on 14th Feb 2021.we enjoy a lot, we swimming, fun walking saw the animals. Amanzi Private game reserve is a lovely place

Was so good. The food was great and the atmosphere was so calm and relaxed. After dinner we still had time to take a strole around, watch the beautiful sunset and just take in the beauty of it all. The most wonderful experience was when the lions started roaring and it sounded as if they were just around the corner. Can not wait to go again and make is an outing for the day. Just love what you did to enhance the experience since we were last there 11 years ago. Well done Leonora and staff.

When you step out your car, you breathe in peace and tranquility. At the end of a short well maintained gravel road lies a beautiful, well priced, family lodge Dinner was great. Room comfortable. Roaring lions just a bonus

I didnt know about Amanzi Private Game Reserve but have to recommend them for there friendly and excellent service. The beautiful family units and lookout it offers is fantastic. We will definately going there again if we can after the Covid 19

Didn’t see any lions on the game drive but saw some buck. If you planning to stay here then I highly recommend it. Really beautiful and a good place to relax and get away from the city noise. Can’t stay here for more then a week though.The venue and conference hall complement its surroundings. Very spacious and well maintained.

What an amazing breakaway close to Bloem! A short flat hiking trail with a couple of challenges and some beautiful views. Game drive tops. Views from the venue on the top of the hill is exquisite over the game ranch. Accommodation more than comfortable and sounds of lions roaring at night just what everyone needs to escape day to day life every once in a while.

Amanzi is the most amazing place to go and unwind for a weekend.This place is a must every now and then.We camp then often and every time we enjoy the time spend there.The animals to watch from the different Decks is enough to feel warm hearted.The restaurant on site is most efficient when not feeling like having to make food for yourself. Even just having a drink.The staff is always friendly inside and outside staff always having a joke with them.Ablution block is always clean. We always battle to pack up and go the last day. Mmm due to enjoying our stay.This is a definite must to visit.I will and have recommended to everyone

I dont know who enjoyed Amanzi more: my wife and I, or our two young boys? It is a true Free State treasure.Beautiful and peaceful area. We booked into a well appointed cottage where the attention to detail and quality finishes impressed. The cottage was modern, comfortable, clean, with air conditioning and a kitchen. We visited friends caravanning in the meticulous camping grounds and in the top five weve seen. Amanzi is self catering, but the restaurant has a good menu. Amanzi staff are friendly and attentive.

A game park about an hour from Bloemfontein, well worth a stay, beautiful setting, various accommodation all positioned for privacy and insync with the landscape. Low veld with roaming antelopes, zebra, giraffe etc. Game drive was super informative with herds of animals. Staff so very pleasant and the whole park extremely well run. Highly recommended.

Although very small and pretty far out there, it was an amazing stay. The rooms were super comfortable and the grounds were kept immaculate. As well as enjoying the stay the game drive was spectacular, with a nice variety of wildlife all very well looked after and very stunning. The staff are also very helpful and friendly and veey accommodating to our every need.I myself am not a safari kind of person but the willingness to go above and beyond for us definitely gets Amanzi a well deserved 5 star rating and i will definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a break.

Very poor service with no customer centric mentality. Managers was very rude when I questioned the itenary. If you want a place to have a good, this is not it. Try elsewhere. Not even willing to problem solve any challenge that arise on. Unprofessional management enable problem solve when necessary.

Friendly and a stunning view

The camp site is amazing. With all the utilities that you need. Power points, build in braaier (BBQ) stand , plenty of trees for shade and very clean bathrooms.

The houses look beautiful the pool was amazing we had it all for ourselfs but at night and surprisingly during the day there were Bats in the house i slept scared as hell and i couldnt wait to leave because of the Bats we had more than 2 Bats and i think its that material the roof is made of we didnt leave any windows open while we were at the pool immediately after check in we went to explore and went to swim when we came back boom 3 bats
