Lovely family restaurant with authentic Portuguese dishes and the BEST Portuguese caramel pudding 😁

Wifes food was good but probably the worst ever espatada. No salt tasteless and just fat and sinew. Brought it home for the dog and he could not even chew it. Definately the worst portugese restuarant experience ever. Drove far to visit as it was recomended by my daughter but for me it was a waste of time petrol and money. Complained to waitress and was told well thats how we make it. Did not even call a manager or try correct the problem. A definate no no from me and wont recomend to my worst enemy

What a diamond in the rough. This is a truely authentic Portuguese restaurant. The food is fantastic, fresh, tasty, brilliantly prepared and very affordable. The waiters are sharp, well trained and great. Our food arrived quickly after our order was placed even though the venue was quite full. Really worth your attention to pop it there. Everyone in our party throughly enjoyed their meal.Thank you to management and supporting staff.

What a place, I have driven past a couple of times but have never gone in, I was so surprised at the level of professionalism and the food is amazing as well as the service, a real gem of a place, I can recommend Casa Portugesa to anyone with supreme confidence

Date visited June 2021.I had a 500g T Bone, with chips and a green salad with their famous fresh cut green chillies in olive and garlic. With it I had a bottle Nederburg Baronne. My steak was very nice, not on the dot as ordered (medium to rare) it was a medium to almost rare. The steak gets a big 7,5 out of 10With all their food, you get n slice of home made bread with butter. The service was great. The steak was well priced under R150.R150 is currently my benchmark for a 500g steak. The Nederburg Baronne was above the price I expected to pay but their katemba made up for that.

Food excellent but a bit disappointed in salad that was ordered

So very disappointed... Ordered large chips and Trinchado. Received plate of the day (dobrada) and the disastrous trinchado. Stewing steak! huge chunks of gristle and tough as nails, chips not quite cooked. My recommendation so that my daughter could try your food backfired.
