On the 17th of October my Aprilia Dorsoduro 1200 was stolen. The bike was recovered the afternoon. The previous week my bike was serviced at LSM Performance bikes in boksburg. Knowing the owner I called him to ask if he can collect the bike in the field where we found the bike.I am insured by MiWay insurance and he said that it will be fine as he do work for them regularly. After speaking to MiWay they said that they never used LSM Performance bikes before and it was an unauthorized towing. I called Len and he said he will release the bike to them if i pay R450 towing charges, (which is fair) and also R400 for giving a quote on the repairs to be done which is ridiculous.When the insurance went to pick up the bike he did not want to release the bike and said the insurance must pay storage fees of R4900. Because it was an unauthorized towing I had to pay the R4900 out of my own pocket...Len and his business will never see me or any of my fellow bikers again.Be very careful if Len tells you he does any work for insurance company.He is a greedy individual that seeks every opportunity to make that extra buck. Even lying to customers to rip them off.
