They dont have many vegetarian or pescatarian options and they were out of stock when we tried to order the one out of 2 veggie options. The cocktails are lovely and looks great, just a bit pricy. The staff is very friendly.

When last did you visit News Cafe Boksburg. Does it still have a vibe?I recently visited again after a VERY long time and I must say I am happy to see they have revamped their menus with some great food and drinks options, I including a sushi menu.I had a virgin mocktail of mixed frozen berries, berry puree, mint, orange juice and lemonade which was so light and refreshing. As for food, I had the onion bites with a blue cheese dip and the lamb riblets with greek spice. My mom had the Panko Chicken strips with Honey Mustard Mayo. The chicken strips were fantastic and so was my onion bites. I could happily eat a portion of those and be satisfied. The staff are friendly and very willing to assist. Setting has modern decor and the music selection is good. It is a pity that the food is not quite up to the standard expected. The menu states that the hot chocolate comes with an oreo cookie, but what was given, after requesting the cookies, was not an oreo but a knock off. The buddah bowl has overcooked chicken strips and the butternut tasted a bit too earthy. The chips that came with the burger were too oily for what tasted like oven bake chips. I hope that the quality improves as the menu selection is very good. On the positive side, the hot chocolates we had were very tasty

Food is good and cheap, but management and staff dont seem to care about mask wearing during Covid. One waitress had her mask off not even around her neck the entire time I was there and she had served multiple tables for the 2 hour period without 1 one word from management, but his mask was on and off intermittently.

The food is good but those shooter and cocktails get expensive very quickly. The atmosphere is not what it used to be but a perfect little meeting place to catch up with friends and family. I still like their platters and is worth going just for that and a few cold ones.

Early business brunch. Perfectly prepared medium-rare 200g steaks with chips and salad to share. Table indoors as chilly outside - nice n quiet n able to talk business. Cappuccinos were very good!

Healthy options to choose from. My first order was unsuccessful as the chicken was over cooked, but as soon as I reported the issue they rectified the issue and the meal was delicious. News Café has great food, and has really good cocktail specials. There is indoor and outdoor seating with big umbrellas. There is also a bar inside which you can sit at with friends. It is a good place to meet up with friends or to get to know your date.

John is the friendliest manager! Just love him and his spirit! Nice vibe, yummy food (maybe not the healthiest but who wants healthy food while you having cocktails and shooters) .
