Great service when they want to sell you stuff, but when you would like to return a faulty product and buy something else they have a fit.Very disappointed in how they have handled the whole situation. I will never ever buy from them again. It is such a pity, because they have a really nice store with good prices.

TENTCO: What a disappointment to deal with this company!. :-( Thinking to rather buy durable items, my son bought a tent and two self-inflatable mattresses. We erected the tent and put the mattresses in the sun on the grass to self-inflate. The mattresses did not inflate as it should have. My son returned them and they promised to call him. Three weeks later, no phone call. I went in today (20.10.21) to enquire and was told that it hasnt been done as they were quite busy. I demanded they look at it right away and waited; also told them we dont want those products back. Would rather take a voucher to buy something else. The mattresses are sold as self-inflatable in the sun, but they tested in their warehouse by inflating them?! They were quite resistant about the return and eventually gave a voucher whereby a deduction was made for handling fee. I was furious because this is not how any company should treat its customers. The cherry on top was when the manager attacked my integrity to say the mattresses had been used! As was instructed, they were put in the sun on the grass to see if they inflated, thereby getting grass on the mattress. And if they didnt inflate first time, how could they have been used??

Good service overall. Nice products in store. Just would not recommend National Luna fridge as mine packed up after 2 camping trips. Still waiting to see of they refund me or if they are able to fix the fridge (ot what they decide). Not impressed...

I requested prices for the Deluxe Safari tents and Deluxe Dining shelter, as advertised on their website, but when I wanted to order them, I was told that they are not being currently manufactured. Ok, so update your website!I subsequently ordered 5x bespoke tents valued at R15000 each from a local manufacturer. This morning I phoned about the Fisherman stools - no stock. Well done, Ill take my business elsewhere again!

I bought a Tentco Family Trailer Tent, I also wanted the additional awning and sides, but I was told they dont have stock of the awning but they would soon have stock again. Now I am told they will not make the awning again until next year. If I was told I cannot get the awning I would not buy the tent as without the awning there is no shade... I think this is very poor service, I have called and emailed, offered to pay in advance but they are not interested to assist. Im stuck now with a tent that does not fit my needs and it was bought based on the advice Tento gave me.

I purchased approximately R9000 worth of camping gear from Tentco Jet Park in August for a trip to Namibia. One of the items I purchased was a stretcher which given the design was not manufactured with adequate strength materials and collapsed on the second night. After an uncomfortable night on the floor and a huge return trip to Cymot in Windhoek Namibia I purchased a replacement stretcher for the trip.On my return to SA I took the stretcher back to Tentco with the request for a credit, which I explained I would use in their store to its full value and possibly more as I am still in need of camping gear. I was informed that their policy is not to credit customers, but to replace the parts. I was handed the new parts, which require someone to remove the rivets and pop rivet the new parts into the stretcher. When I asked whether they would do this for me, I was told that it was not their policy to repair the goods, but only to replace the parts.I left the store, and the stretcher behind at the store as it is completely useless to me. I have a new stretcher and could not see myself attempting to repair their stretcher with their inferior parts at my expense.I have had some really poor service in South Africa, but this has to take the cake. Good luck Tentco with your customer policy. I will definitely not visit your store again, and will certainly not recommend you to anyone of my circle of friends

I went there on 25.07.2020 to get myself the Sahara Deluxe Tent and i was assisted by a Guy called Johannes, what a good Guy !!! His product knowledge is fascinating - He suggested a few things for me to buy together with the Tent. Awesome !! Keep up the good work Johannes !! Thanks

For camping, this is one of the most comprehensive places to go. The stuff is all their own brand, which is a good thing as it is well made.

First time out in a little bit of rain and the Explorer leaked like a siv even more than the guy with a normal sail tent next to me after i was promised their canvas tents dont leak.Will be returning for full refund
