Our weekend away with friends was fabulous, what a wonderful time we had. We enjoyed every moment, it was not too busy and very clean. The long morning walk along the beach. Ill cherish this moment in my heart forever.

Not a nice place to stay. Will defnetly not stay at this place again. Service is poor and parking is very bad and someone else stands on your parking then we dont have parking. Then we get moved from our parking to another parking, really! There is much better places to stay with better parking and better service for the same price. Thats how we learn in life.

This place really blew my mind! It was so much more than I expected. The service was excellent and the staff was very friendly and helpful. We stayed in the Driftwood cottage. I could not find fault anywhere. It was clean and well maintained. We even had a view of the beach on our doorstep. I will definitely be back for another stay soon!

It was very nice. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. Hope to visit Ansteys again soon.

This place is a coolest place I ever been,I enjoy every moment

Dirty and unpleasant !Very expensive compared to much better places situated around their area which even has its own kitchens and was modern and neat ... Ansteys beach is not child friendly especially when its rainy weather... The fridge was filthy rusted and dirty, glasses had white stains at the bottom of them and the restrooms are a mess ... We ddnt even get half our money back after having to go look fot another place as it was too unsafe for the kids and dirty to stay in ... The front desk staff was very helpful but we had to pay double as we had to go look for another place to stay at

I loved it, service was excellent especially from the young man Dylan. Their price is quite reasonable considering that you just about a hundred metres from the beach.

Very poor. Couldnt accommodate my family of five and no deposit paid pack even though I wanted to stay provided they accommodate my family. Had to look for another accommodation.

Very unpleasant experience being woken up by a lawnmower right next to the window. They clearly are not considering that people come to relax and sleep late

The staff service was very good. The place was absolutely clean. Fantastic location overlooking the beach. Safe and comfortable. Pool & Restaurant & tuckshop on premises very convenient. Love this place. Parking space way too small. Will gladly recommend this facility. Im definitely going back

Been to this back packers a few times and I must say its one of my favorite backpackers in SA. Clean, good facilities and lots of rooms available its definitely with checking out. Great for singles or families 💯😎✌ #lifeflow247

Peace and tranquility. The place is amazing with a beautiful view. Definitely coming to the establishment when I’m around the area. The hospitality we received was at it’s best. Ansteys should keep up the good work, was a little puzzled when I went there about a year ago and I was told to pay a damage cover which I didnt have at that time.... I had to go to the mall which is a few KMs away from the lodge but anyway thumbs up

Which is also close to Brighton Beach also know as Cave Rock. Has both paddling pools for babies, toddlers and a rifle pool. At high tide the waves come over into the pool fun for all. For those that like to surf or body board the sea is perfect or just to have a refreshing surf swim.

Great atmosphere, neat and clean. Feels like youre right in with the locals. They do host contractors in the dorms at times which can conflict with the backpackers vibe, so I would suggest staying in smaller dorms with friends. Visit Heidis Cafe for a wholesome affordable breakfast on the premises.

Heidis is a little coffee shop with a menu of delicious dishes, and also healthy options. Their swimming pool is the best coffee if you need a good pick-me-up early in the morning. Great way to get an early start or socialise with friends

This place makes you feel right at home and have a lot of stuff to do, you can rent surboards or bodyboards, it has a bar with pool table and the staff is very friendly, close to the beach and also have a restaurant with pool and self catering facilities. Very good place for holiday with friends or family. Theres also some items that you can buy from them. This was a very good place to stay with an awesome experience. Just loved everything about the place.

Were there a year and half ago the best week of my life. Saving up for a mini holiday wat to come back soon just for a brake away from life. Every one there were so awesome great memories. Thanks all

The Everfelt Media crew had a great time at the backpackers. Friendly staff and hosts. Really helpful with local information and places to go. Will definitely be back someday. The most shocking service that I have received. After three days of staying in a place that is not as advertised. We were told that were were parking in the incorrect parking and must move due to other people having booked the space and have paid for itEven after we had paid for it first On our last day we had still not received our permit, wanted proof of our payment as they had no proof. After we had paid and had proof. This will be the last time they will se us. And I will NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. Rules apply to certain people. No noise after 10.but every night until after two u have to sit with excessive amount of noise with no control .. And ask to have it put under control? Nothing gets done about it..... I have met a couple here that has left earlier than what they have booked due to what was advertised and what they received.

Doing their maintenance, but have not seen one in satisfied customer. Heidis little restaurant is a nice place to eat their mouth watering food while smelling and watching the ocean, you might get lucky and see some whales and dolphins.

We had a really good stay here from 27 September till 30th September 2019. Heidis cafe was amazing, food was so well prepared and tasted amazing!Be stayed in the Driftwood Cabin, beds were comfortable and cozy room. I would recomend to maybe wash the shower curtains and put anchers on them on the bottoms to keep them from sticking to you everytime you shower though. I feel like coffee, sugar and tea can be provided for the rooms especially on a chilly evening and you dont want to drive around at 9pm just to find something hot to drink.

Heidis is always a wonderful place to relax for a simple but tasty breakfast, and Bluff Bru coffee. Service is chilled but super-friendly and their prices are very affordable.

Absolutely pathetic.. Dont even waste your time. Its a Wendy house with bunk beds.. Literally 12 beds in a room thats 2m by 5m. The pictures they post arent even the rooms they showed us.

Great place to stay. Very welcoming staff and a range of accomediation options. We stayed here for over a month with a family of four. I highly recommend this hostel / hotel.

Nice place for family to spend time , municipality workers really looks after the place well , especially on peak seasons .

I worked hospitality for 4years so its hard something not to complain. Its mysecond time being in durban but this time it WAS VERY WORSE TRIP, myhoneymoon turn into a boring moment when i enter the unit the sliding door was not working,they cartons were white n dirty ants were everywhere the kitchen utilities were old ,smelly blankets,this place need to close for renovation.this is disrespectful to us as humans we pay money and get this poor service and conditions ,imagine on checkout we were told to go back to wash dishes because its was not included in our accommodation WOW then wht is the reason of having housekeeping.I WILL NEVER COME BACK guys i wont waste mytime writing this am telling the truth ITS A HELL PLACE FOR HOLIDAYS.am also going to rite as hellopeter

On the beach comfy and cosy accommodation with a quaint restaurant called heidis cafe, serving a good breakfast and yummy cakes !!

Pictures werent a true representation of what I saw online, dunk dorm that I stayed in was very dusty and just didnt feel clean at all, up keep of dorms are bad, toilet facilities are not bad, the showers were good, nice running hot waters and enough water pressure.. But still wouldnt stay here again

Worst place I have ever visited...the self catering rooms was terrible...will never recommend or return to that place again

We didntt felt safe at all!! During the day it is ok, reception help you organize the activities you want to do. In fact the hostel is quite far from the city and beachfront, so you need to take taxi for everything. At night its very dark inside and the showers are far from the rooms we were only 2 girls and realy dont felt in security. We were very desapointed for that.

Not bad but Wifi is not free, and its not so cheap!! I got angry many times after paying because it didnt work. Im so sorry for them but nowadays Wifi is almost a sign of quality, If they want to ear money with it, then theyll lose it in other ways...If I had known before, I wouldnt have been there. For sure.
