I stayed at MVL for about 2 weeks during May 2017. I booked into one of Andrews log cabins at first and had a quite comfortable stay at a most reasonable price. After a couple of days Andrew very generously allowed me to stay in the upstairs family unit of the main house (fully furnished and well maintained) which were unoccupied at the time, at no extra cost. When I got trapped in the rain one day without transport, Andrew offered to come and pick me up. Based on my experience at the time I can definitely recommend Monkey Valley Lodge.
Awesome place, awesome to see coastal wildlife such as Monkeys that eat food right out of your hands, great people that gather there.
If no starts were possible, I would have rated that. I paid my R1800 for a 2 night stay for me and my wife and 3 kids. What is advertised on the pictures is not what you getting! Firstly, the place was dirty when we got there, fridge not working, kitchen zink atrocious! We had to shower in flops.Worst of all, the bedding was so old, my baby of 3, my daughter of 7 got lice! Took it up with the owner, he never even responded. Take it from a very unhappy and dissatisfied guest, dont waste your money!
