Ive been to the store a couple of times, some of the floor staff were helpful and friendly even though it was basically only two people running around helping everyone, most people behind a counter dont seem too happy to be doing their jobs and dont seem too keen on helping customers they dont know personally and usually dont take much notice of any other customers anyway. The staff behind the quotation counters and tills are just plainly bombastic.You have to go to one counter to pay for one thing and then the other counter to pay for another, it just does not make sense, and its just one sour face to the next.Today I tried calling for a quote, the first guy couldnt hear anything I was saying and the lady was too busy with other quotes to help me.I would rather order my things from a shop out of Johannesburg and wait longer and pay more for the shipping than have to deal with this.

Worse service on the cutting board side! I need one cut on my board that I pay for it, been there 3 times board still not cut, the guy on the cutting board side are just rude, dont ever go there unless you have to.

Everytime I think about going to DIY I already know it will be a very slow shopping. Friendly reception at door is great. Then stand in queue to get to salesman. Place order. They know their products. Then go and pay. Then give list of items collector, specially the bigger items in back of store or upstairs. Wait and wait and wait. Listen to other waiting customers moan and groan. Eventually phone the number of owner on the board to propose some improvements. No answer. Even went to collect some stock in the yard and coming. Back, still had to wait for a collector of stock inside store. Eventually got it and wrong. Sorry, it is a new man who is still. Learning.Good report is that a big variety of stock is available at reasonable and competitive prices.Another fun experience was when 2 workers loaded my wood in yard they looked at Me when I had to fasten the goods on The truck.First time that happened.Proposal to management. PLEASE IMPROVE YOUR WAITING TIME FOR CUSTOMERS AND TRAIN STAFF BETTER.

DIY in Bloemfontein is beyond pathetic. The staff ignore the customers and you stand and wait and wait........ I wanted to buy a jute carpet for my patio, and was ignored for 10 minutes. I stood there trying to make eye contact..... To no avail. I decided to call on the gentlemen behind the desk on his Cell phone. He looked very annoyed when he had to lift a few carpets to get hold of the one I wanted.This is not the first time that I went there and had to look for somebody who at least looked up when called. This is really annoying. I dread going to DIY. Not going to support them again. I have had it with this rude attitude.
