I was looking for a pair of shoes for my husbands birthday and everywhere was out of stock of his size, I stumbled upon Awerbuchs Bargain House by accident on Google, processed an online order on Sunday afternoon and had delivery of the shoes on Tuesday lunchtime, and we are in Alberton! I called Dunique in the online department on Monday morning to let her know I was nervous about putting my bank details online and she sent me all the info I needed to do a secure EFT directly into their bank, she made it all happen within one day, then only to find out the size was incorrect when we received the order and she has very kindly and efficiently arranged to do an exchange by tomorrow, Wednesday! In a world where customer service is really lacking and everything is done with technology, online with hardly any human contact it was an ABSOLUTE PLEASURE dealing with her and Awerbuchs and we will be customers of theirs for a very long time to come!

This store is the business. Everything is laid out so neatly. You can immediately see if something is available in your size or not. Thats a win for us bigger guys. I found EVERYTHING I needed clothing wise there today. That is not something I can say often. Very nice. Staff is also very friendly and helpfull.

The quality of their cloths are good, i have bought boxers, shirts and pants from them and havent had any issues concerning build quality. Staff is help full.

If you want a new shirt or tie in Bloemfontein, and you cant find it in awerbuchs, you dont know what you are looking for.

Absolutely the worst service ever. Went in 2 months ago to get a pair of CAT shoes. Not available but the internet says it is asked the gentleman at shoes department to please order for me as i want to give it to someone for a bday which was yesterday...2 months after my initial query. Phoned this morning and spoke to the owner...who was less that forthcoming. Told me that i must order online...pay the R1800 before he would order the shoes. He was not at all concerned that this order was placed in store 2 months ago. I have an account with Awerbuchs and always pay on time. This is the way they thank their customers. Will most definately be closing my account.

Im buying a suit for my wedding here. They have an amazing variety, and the best prices for the quality of merchandise they sell (very high quality with some major brands). Their customer service is very good too and there is always someone who knows the answers youre looking for. Most of their suits unfortunately dont come with waistcoats (maybe its because I came in summer) but this is a small matter in my opinion as these can be bought or rented elsewhere. They also only do minor alterations like sleeve and leg shortening.

Prices is to high and no good help

Went in there this morning looking for specific items of clothing. While I was in the fitting room, a salesman was instructed by what I believe to be the owner to assist my dad. A brief and intense exchange of words occurred between the two and then the instruction was given to assist us. In my experience, the salesman’s aggression was tangible. He kept telling us how he didn’t have what we were looking for and why what he had wouldn’t work for me. Thanks Edgars, smiles all the way so far.

Best service ever. I ordered shoes online Monday from Bloemfontein. We are situated in Pretoria. Tuesday 11.25 we received a message from our Postnet that the parcel is ready for collection. We ordered a size 9.5. But it was to big. On Wednesday I send an email to Dunique asking if I can exchange for a size 8. She immediately returned my email telling me to send it back. They send me another pair of shoes size 8 with no cost. On Friday 12.10 my parcel were at Postnet ready for collection. What an amazing company. There product is of high quality .Thank you Dunique you are a star.

The one store in Bloem that you get that true Platteland feeling in. The staff treat you like they have known you for years and consider you as a priority from the very moment you step inside the store. Exchanges are never a hassle. Stock appears to be limitless. An in-house tailor is always available an normally not even charged additionally for.
