A different and a new experience for my lady, son and I on 26/09/2021. Amazing atmosphere, the Sunday lunch buffet was full of wonderful surprises 4 the tongue. The hosts were welcoming ππ½, my son busy patting the animals and ducksβΊ. Thank you Coffee Talks an experience worth repeating, coming back soon soon.
This place is truly blessed! Theres peace and warmth that transcends all understanding. Beautiful people thats always friendly... we enjoy every visit!
A fantastic place to visit with a good friend or family. A lovely open country life feel with ducks swimming in the pond and there is always something new to see. This is the only place in Bloemfontein where my husband and I can unwind and get away from the busy city life. Strong coffee and freshly baked goods. Itβs a real treat! Just look up their business hours before you decide to visit as they do differ.
This is probably one of the most beautiful coffee shops Iβve been too. The coffee was fantastic, and I really enjoyed the salted caramel latte. Gorgeous, family run establishment in a tranquil setting. 100% would recommend.
Very nice place beautifully situated in a prestine area. Beautiful accommodation, very friendly staff and the owners are very hands on, friendly and accommodating.Had a lovely stay and nice nice breakfast.I would highly recommend this place to anyone coming through Bloemfontein.
This place made me feel like I visited the past in the future. It has a very tranquil scenery. It is friendly to children and it is a very nice place to escape to when the traffic of life gets under your skin. There are farm animals around, board games and other activities a family can take part in. There is also a facility for sleeping over.
This is a special place to visit with a peaceful and tranquil ambiance set in beautiful gardens with a dam and ponds. We went in winter and were greated with a wonderful crackling fire to keep warm.We were surprised to get given the best coffee in SA, Mastertons, an artisan micro roastery from Port Elizabeth. So the coffee served is top class and superb. The food is also top class and super tasty, based on a mediterranean kitchen menu with swarmas, falafel and the like. The breakfast swarmas were to die for.The service was fast and very friendly that is very much family run style.I would highly recommend a visit to this coffee shop for the best coffee, tastiest food and a really relaxing ambiance.
Found by accident and I would say is the best accidental place Ive come across. Its a hidden gem of a place and can only be found by recommendation. Buffets are served on Sundays for breakfast and lunch. Owner and their staff are the most friendliest folks running the place. Highly recommended to come with friends and family for a lovely time to eat, bond and for the children to run around barefoot.
Calm and peaceful spot for cup of coffee or a bite to eat from their interesting menu
We have visited Bloemfontein many times but unfortunately only on Saturdays when the cafe is closed. Thankfully, we found ourselves here on Tuesday and couldnt have been more pleased. The food was delicious, the space comfortable and the owner present. Not only present but engaging and interesting. I will make it a point to make it back here and recommend anyone who visits Bloemfontein do the same.
Always a pleasure. A retreat. Truly uplifting experience.
A lovely rustic cafe! Delicious food, beautiful environment, good for kids and dogs! Really peaceful, and a taste of Israel in Bloem!
What a serene place to spend some time!
Amazing Sundag afternoon Buffet. With great and friendly service and an interesting atmosphere.
One of the gems of Bloemfontein. Amazing atmosphere.
Most unique and tranquil coffee/dining atmosphere. Exceptional food, unparalleled. Bulk spices and raw health foods to buy a great bonus
Absolutely the most cutest place to go to in Bloemfontein. Sunday is buffet day and what amazing food with a view. Sit down anywhere and look onto the veg garden and now especially that it rained so much is full of life. Only good things to say about this place, making it a regular place to go. Very welcoming and great place to bond with special people.
The food is spectacular (especially the Sunday lunch), it has a great ambiance In its eclecticness and the Staff are wonderful...
This place is a gem and worth the stop over in Bloem on your drive for lunch and breakfast.Very chic and cute and the food is delicious π
Rustic, peaceful and friendly. A great place to write
Little shop with great coffee and nice breakfast buffet. Not your average sit down. They have beautiful gardens. Recommended to those in need of relaxation, peace and calm. The owners are awesome; family run business.
Love this place. Its the tranquil and ambience for me. The natural scenery is so calming and relaxing.
Coffee Talks is an awesome place to relax and have an amazing cup of coffee or bite to eat. There is not a wide variety of food, which I prefer, as there is a lot of attention that goes into the food they do offer, the flavours are amazing and makes me want to come back for more!! There is a lot of shade in the garden, so you can sit outside or inside. Keep in mind that there are no card facilities available, but you can pay with cash, zapper, snap scan or EFT. Will definitely be back!!!!
The vibe of the venue is really great with plenty of things to do β Even in the pouring rain. Food is good and so is the coffee. The owner, I assume, was really friendly and accommodating.
Nice and peacefull. Clean. Waiters can be more active and visible. Thefore my 3 β΄οΈ
Interesting place off the main road. Buffet breakfast. Or alternative meal.options like souvlaki etc. Also has a small shop by weight food items. Nice rustic feel. Clean bathrooms.
Absolutely amazing vibe all in all. 100% would recommend.
We had such a wonderful time. They have great food. Enjoyed the shashuka. Unfortunately the service was very, very slow.
CoffeeTalks is my favourite coffee shop in Bloemfontein. Run by a creative and passionate family the establishment boasts a variety of projects woven together to create what is called CoffeeTalks. Some of these projects include having a fresh produce market, having a recycling station and running a charity shop alongside running a coffee shop and cafe. The kitchen has a diverse menu of Jewish cuisine as well as a few standard options. Their coffee is brilliant. All the books fulling the bookshelves, art supplies and records arenβt for decor. Guests are welcome to use the workshop and purchase any supplies they may need. On the shelves you will find a variety of resources for gardening, holistic living and diy building. CoffeeTalks also runs events that they post about on their Facebook page. Thanks for your fantastic work. I canβt wait to see what youβre going to do next.
Not a good first experience, asked for a waiter to take my oder, 1hr later (he didnt come) I went to the till and waited at the till standing for over 30min while the guy who was supposed to help me unapologetically chat to the customer in front of me. Until they were called out by someone else (who was with the customer) and still he didnt even apologize, I guess some customers are insignificant to them and disqualified to be treated normally.
Nice place for delicious coffee and cake. The salad was also great quality, nice sea front view
Unexpected shortleft, really great Mediterranean food, fresh and delicious. Also have a lovely, tranquil setting to relax and enjoy your meal
CoffeeTalks Cafe is a wonderful spot to enjoy good conversation and even better coffee. The establishment has a very welcoming and relaxed atmosphere and the staff is always kind- cracking jokes every now and then to maintain the light hearted atmosphere.Besides stellar and affordable coffee, the establishment has many natural, sustainably harvested ingredients for sale, including vegetables, starch products and bottled goods.Outside the cafe, clients can be seated in a large open grass plane with complementary outside seating. Enjoying a cup of coffee outside offers a peaceful experience that few other establishments can, with ducks and dogs alike walking about and complete silence filling the air.Ive visited CoffeeTalks Cafe three times already and I have no intention of stopping. I highly recommend a visit as soon as possible!
Good food. Good vibe. Will be back.
Great place for relaxing with friends and doing waste-free shopping. Just remember to take cash if you dont use banking apps - they do not use a card machine. The place is kid-friendly and the food is really good. Also, please note, they are closed on Saturdays and Mondays.
Awesome coffee and nice outdoors plus doggie friendly !!yay!!
Very nice to visit and food wonderful.
Very nice coffee shop! Recommended
A beautiful hidden gem of Bloemfontein. A wonderful place to visit.
A lovely, tranquil and friendly coffee shop!
Interesting place and good breakfast buffet.Needs a bit of TLC, but otherwise good food and relaxed atmosphere.
An amazing coffee experience, with organic earthbound roots. Also, you can get some organic form, produce here, like free range egg
A wonderful coffee shop, while not in a very rural place it still feels like a getaway from the city. The food is reasonably priced, staff are friendly and the place is beautiful.I recommend this coffee shop to everyone who wants a peaceful day out.
Excellent..Great place to unwind with a tranquil atmosphere...
Lovely place, FaNtaStiC food and a very SPECIAL VISION... Say YES to the experience! Thank you, everyone at Mizpah π
We were looking for a nice place to have lunch and we were lucky to discover The Coffee Talks Cafe. It is such a lovely and peaceful place with lots of different places to chill in the shade. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. And the food is delicious. It was the best shawarma we have ever had ! The shakshuka and the falafels were delightful too !
Falafel was so good. The pita was fluffy and soft. And letβs not forget the amazing coffee!!!!
Wonderful, well priced zero waste store. Best coffee in Bloem and the friendliest people.
Awesome experience
Relaxing atmosphere, best coffee. Friendly owner-managed restaurant and coffee lounge, with fresh produce sold in their shop. A number of activities are arranged throughout the week. Well worth regular visits! Book corner and LPs for geeks and nerds alike.
Really lovely calm relaxing place to spend a sunday. Owner is really friendly and eco-conscious. The breakfast buffet was really good and the coffee even better. My only suggestion would be to improve on directions when you enter the building, it seems like you have been lost in a maze, and then you find the quant coffee shop.Owner also sells GMO free fresh produce! Would recommend this stop anyday.
The environment is very nice. Its nice to see farm animals around and also just enjoy the open space and fresh air. A very good place to come with family and spend time out
Peaceful atmosphere, delicious food!
Lovely relaxed setting and good food
Honestly the best food in Bloem. Extremely healthy, EXTREMELY tasty, always enough to fill the stomach at a decent price. You wont be disappointed.
Would recommend this place to anyone that just wants to enjoy a great experience!
Its very different. Great for adventurous people who like to try different foods and discover secret gardens. Beautiful scenery.
Had an amazing meal for dinner, healthy and fantastic tasty! The people are wonderful and the service is great! Coffee Talks CafΓ© is really a fabulous place to go for extraordinary, fabulous food, company and coffee. Coffee Talks also has a lovely unit for sleeping over, very nice place...
Very interesting place. Looked like a family run business. A bit awkward, though, the staff were sitting around, talking. No one said hallo or be right with you or seat yourself. Also, the path to the restaurant goes through a maze, theres no proper directions to show you the way. It is way behind the building. Definitely a new experience for me.
A magical place to escape from the busy city life. All organic and zero waste
Excellent out-of-the-way coffee shop, it has a very relaxed atmosphere with booths made out of palms and large gardens. Most of the menu uses homegrown ingredients and there are books and boardgames to enjoy. Events happen every now and then and it is really a stunning unique place
Friendly, fresh and a unique local experience. Family run and family friendly, with fun Thursday night entertainment.
So glad we stumbled apon this gem. It is a calm relaxed place to have a break and some good food. The prices are very reasonable.
Love coffeetalks cafe! Excellent food and coffee and at rather affordable prices! Lovely atmosphere and a great place to read a book and relax. 10/10.
The coffee talk shop experience I will never forget. This little farm holding was exhilarating with fufi slides and solitary amongst trees and animals. The owner and staff were friendly and welcoming. The farm styled breakfast delicious. I recommend you visit anytime in Bloemfontein.
Lovely to sit outside under the trees and listen to nature while ducks and peacocks pass by your table. Delicious buffet
Did not enjoy the coffee and cake here. The cake was burnt and hidden away with the icing. I did not find the atmosphere great at all
Feels like home, with beautiful people who own it.
Its cool. Tried to go again the very next day but it turns out that they dont open on Saturday and Monday which is weird.
Its been over a year since we arrived late at night just looking for a safe place to stay on our way from Cape town to Mozambique.Weve been welcomed with in a way youd never expect from strangers and even though I often think about the special peacefulness of this place and wish I could come back for a few hours every now and then, I never took the time to say thank you.It was like the only thing missing to create a perfect moment was a Bob Dylan song to describe it...until you put on an lp and it was Bob Dylanβ€Wish we couldve stayed longer...
A very relaxing place for the whole family to relax whilst the kids play. You can spend the whole afternoon there and loose track of time. They also run a charity thrift stor so you can donate items there or buy whats on offer.
We were looking for somewhere (different) to have breakfast on our way back from the coast en route to Johannesburg. Coffee Talks is really a delightful place - extremely pretty, quaint and peaceful. The owners/staff are very helpful and friendly and the breakfast offering very different and tasty. The prices are VERY attractive and we enjoyed our short stay. Definitely a MUST for locals or travellers!!
Quaint place with tons of charm. Good was very nice too. The breakfast buffet was great.
Such a surprising find in Bloem. So impressed by the quality coffee and experienced staff. The food was incredible with vegan options as well as amazing smoothies. Very stoked to have found this little gem. Will be back for sure when in Bloemies town again. Thank you!
Very peaceful and quiet. The food is unique and well prepared.
