Lovely venue. Hidden gem. Very accommodating

Absolutely beautiful with a touch of class. I arrived late and the lady was still friendly and accommodating. The rooms are decorated with class and style. Everything is neat and clean. I do recommend this lodge for its peaceful surroundings and tranquility. They definitely deserve 5 stars. Thanks guys. Keep up the good service.

This is an amazing guest house and an extremely good choice when visiting Bethal and surrounding areas. Away from the hustle and bustle of traffic and businesses. The relaxing atmosphere created by the big old trees, clean and neat rooms, hospitable hosts, lovely breakfast, etc. are soothing to the soul. Will strongly recommend Under Elm Trees.

Under Elm Tree is conveniently located in secure, beautiful grounds. The staff were so friendly and accommodating and the rooms are amazing. I recommend it to anybody spending a night in Bethal...friendly people and FANTASTIC food!

Theres no kitchen for catering

Place has bad service, late to clean the houses, asked for wifi so they put us in the room that has 0 wifi connection, this morning me and the man from room 5 waited outside for 1 hour no breakfast at all just to get phoned to say sorry.... horrible service.

It is a beautiful place, very quiet and a good place to relax. Its missing a star in this review because I got stuck in the bathroom of room one

No warm water, no milk, no bath, (I appearently had to ask for these) uncomfortable and small bed, difficult to exit in dark, unfriendly and not accessible hostess.

Horrible treatment by a certain Mrs Fourie. We checked out 10 minutes late and she made all the noise about it and even came to our rooms to chase us out.
