Most staff of this hospital are just pathetic! My dad sadly passed away because of their neglegence and the manner in which the nurses carry out themselves. They used covid 19 as an excuse to do nothing but act busy. I have the nurses name who lied to my family and I about certain procedures and she thereafter avoided our phone calls as we werent allowed to visit because of covid 19 rules and regulations. My dad was in a critical and severe state. It goes from the nurses(not all) right down to the guard at the entrance of the hospital with his arrogant behavior.My dad was admitted to King George hospital last year from May. He was in and out of hospital because he complained of severe headaches and he suffered a major heart attack being a cancer patient as well. When he spoke to doctors of the problem he was having with his head they were downright rude and told him theres nothing they can do about that without even examining him. He was admitted in and out of hospital. We got a second opinion from another doctor out of that hospital which sent through king George a letter for an urgent head scan to be done as my dad was losing his speech and he was suffering from dementia since his heart attack. The nurses threw the letter out and said they would get an appointment for his head scan. This was all in progress May 2020. We then took him to Albert Luthuli hospital as King George was not helping. They then referred him to King Edward hospital in no time where where they eventually did the head scan for my dad and sent him back to Albert Luthuli where they picked up my dad had the highest grade brain tumor.Fast forward my dad sadly passed away in September 2020 and up until this very date they still never called to give him his appointment for his head scan which evidently and clearly says a lot about the lazy staff that was in charge. They used covid 19 as an excuse for their arrogance. My dads case was severe and critical and when we called king George hospital they slammed the phone in our ear. I have the name of the nurse as well and will be taking this up with legal authorities.
