Excellent food, brilliant presentation,friendly staff and wonderful location. A good meal for a Sunday lunch. We would definitely recommend Marinado and will be back again. We dont know the owner personally , yet he came to all tables himself to enquire if all was in order. ❣️

Very very bad service. Walked in there was only 1 table occupied. Get show a table and given a menu. 15 minutes still no waiter to take my order. It is more important for the waiters to stand and chitchat than serve the paying customers, I called the waiter over who was busy faffing with the speed point, he looked at me and kept faffing with the speed point and ignored me. I got up and walked out.Your restaurant is empty it is a bad sign, your staff dont care about your customers it is a bad sign, if you dont get your customer service sorted the next sign will be - Closed for bussines.

When I went the first time, a couple of months ago...I had a much different experience then this time round.They served the calamari cold and it was smelly. The hake was also not tasty and had a smell.The veggies were also stale.Not what I expected from Marinados from the first time I was there. The first time ...greater care was taken to prepare the food and it was very tasty.Please work on your service or you will lose a lot of customers .

The food gets the 6 stars. Amazing flavours. The giblets gave me goosebumps. However, for the whole 2 hours we sat there, the manager walked past us a zillion time and pretended we was not there. Only checked a selected few people. 😔 pity

So since Atlas Junction has opened, Ive been wondering about Marinado as its always so quiet versus the other restaurant, which has a hype around it, but Im not so keen on it.We eventually decided to give it a try for lunch. On arrival it started off very quiet but quickly filled up with patrons.It has an extensive menu, and also love the quotes at the bottom of each page. To start I ordered my favourite drink, a Cosmopolitan. Not just any Cosmopolitan, but my first Non Alcoholic one served with Olives, not a Cherry as this restaurant is Halaal.The other mocktail options are also quite interesting and refreshing.For starters we had the Crumbed mushrooms, Prawn Rissoles Prawn Pops and Chicken livers. Everything was Cooked perfectly, and beautifully presented. Loved how the mushrooms were presented on the plate, and a bigger portion size than what most places give for the price.For mains, again dont ask me why the entire lockdown I either craved Prawn pasta or Sushi. So I took the Camarão, medium prawns cooked in a spicy sauce with cherry tomatoes.The Pangasius fish with Sweet Potato fries cooked in special spices.Chicken breasts with veggies, and a side of Stir fry veggies.Compliments to the Chef as everything was a taste sensation and really impressed us, and super service from Yolanda thank you for your patience and suggestions when trying to pick what to order. Will definitely be back for more sometime.We didnt make it to dessert, we were too stuffed. Amazing food, great service and brilliant staff!The ambiance is just lovely. Whether you going out as a couple, its quaint and romantic or you opt to go with a crowd, its lively and has an overall great atmosphere.. the owner / management staff were kind enough to check in to make sure we were satisfied with our meals and their service. You feel well taken care of👌.The only negative thing i could say is that the few times that i have dined at Marinado, i always found the bathroom in a mess. Poorly maintained.. something that definitely needs more attention!

Very disappointed... Had a steak and chips.No satchet of sauces, no garnish, no serviertes.. Ordinary meal... That I could have just purchased at my local take away joint at a far less of the cost... Too much hype.. No satisfaction..

Service was good, not happy that they didn’t have any calamari on a weekend, disappointing. Ordered a seafood paella, but it was rather plain rice with on top and sauce poured over… definitely not a paella by definition.

We made a reservation but when we entered and sat at a booth we were moved and told the booth is for more than 2 people. Only to be taken by another couple.Starters took approximately 1 hour to arrive at our table and mains 45 minutes after that. Food was decent but not worth the overall service. If they can get their act together, might be worth a visit but I wont be returning anytime soon.

Had a booking on Saturday night with Moosa for 6 people. We got delayed. When we got there the place was full Alhamdulillah. While waiting for about 15 minutes the Manager Kadija came to check on us. Long story short we got our table. The Manager Kadija & Our Waitress Mellissa were super awesome, patient, understanding, compassionate & extremely helpful.FOOD WAS SUPER DELICIOUS. HAD GIBLETS & HALLOUMI FOR STARTERS. MAINS WAS A STEAK BURGER, CHICKEN NACHO BURGER, NACHOS, CHICKEN SALAD, CHICKEN STRIPS & CHIPS & LAST BUT NOT LEAST RIBS. EVERTHING WAS ON POINT ALHAMDULILLAH. BILL WAS ALSO VERY REASONABLE. WILL DEFINITELY IN SHA ALLAH BE GOING BACK SOON. MARINADO LAKEFIELD YOU ROCK. Never had a bad experience prior to today. Unfortunately today, placed an order that took 1 hour to come, 45 minutes after I placed my order I was informed that there wasnt any chips, food was messy and wasnt assembled properly and also part of someone elses order was included in the bag.

I Love the Al-Saudi bakery it has the most delicious freshly baked goods and Naikers Food Market fresh and very helpful and friendly staff and owners at both shops I will go again

A very frustrating outing from Witbank to Benoni. Very disappointed with service and food. The food took extra long to come and then was not fully cooked. The chips were not up to much. The dessert came before the meal. A real waste of money.

Where to start? From even walking in we chose a booth option and we were subsequently moved because we were just 2 people only to be replaced by another couple?? Furthermore, we came for iftaar ( to break fast after not eating or drinking for 12 hours), with management knowing this, the food took over 2 hours to get to the table (including the starters) . To top it off, we could see our drinks waiting on the counter, but they were so understaffed, food was not getting to the tables fast enough. The Manager was nowhere to be seen even though the place was absolute chaos - delivery drivers also waiting for over an hour for deliveries. Furthermore, I order a bar one milkshake, the order comes to the table with whole nut chocolate - thank goodness Im not allergic!!All in all, a horrid experience. Not worth it at all.

The food is absolutely delicious. Particularly the Prawns and the Calamari. Wanted to try the crab but was out of stock.

Fairly decent. 3 stars because my prawns were overcooked and there was a foul odour within in the restaurant.

Wagyu and veg was perfect. Fish was too firm. Livers were a bit chewy but the marinade was good. Bread was lovely. Son loved prawn pops. Some loved the chicken alfredo but for me the yellow sauce and corn was not my favourite. Dessert presentation was underwhelming but the taste was good.

Did not sit in, but ordered take away and the food was delicious. I highly recomend their food.

Pasta and Steaks were delicious, Chips requires looking at, has got the taste of normal takeaway with too much oil, deep fried. Nice quaint setting and family atmosphere. Definitely one for the connoisseur

Water takes 25 minutes to arrive.Food takes over an hour.Disgusting customer service and nobody’s even trying to make it right.A giant WiFi sign, yet servers won’t give you the password.Isn’t worth it at all.My first and last time there. matter of fact I was going to walk out without my dinner, that’s how long they took and how carelessly it was handled.TO THE OWNER THAT KEEP THIS MESS AS DISORGANIZED AS I WITNESSED TODAY: sir Consider at least serving free appetizers such as salad since your customers are forced to wait 60 minutes without food.Avoid at all costs.

I expected far more from this place. This is not a restaurant to go to if you’re expecting any form of customer service. Food is grossly overpriced. My calamari dish was nothing like the quality one gets at ocean basket, overcooked and rubbery. I was disappointed. Waitrons are slow and nonchalant. Not once did anyone come check up on the table to see if everything was okay. The entire establishment only has 1 toilet for patrons. At this place you are just a bag of cash and not a valued client.Rather go to the restaurant at the other side of the parking called Le Kreamery. We had desert there instead. At least we received a friendly greeting from the owner at the door.

My first visit to Marinado was an absolute disaster. It took almost 1.45min to get our food and the food was average. A typical Callistos/Adega type meal. Nothing to race about...basic. When our Food finally arrived it was delivered in drips and drabs. This made it very uncomfortable as half of our party of 20 plus has something to eat and the other had nothing. There was no cutlery, glasses or serviettes on the tables. This establishment really needs to take really look at whats going wrong in their restaurant. Its a new restaurant but if they continue in this manner this fad will surely die out. My suggestion is that they either reduce the number of paying customers in the restaurant and deliver basic food on time or increase your staff compliment and perhaps hire an expeditor to assist with getting the good out. I had a chat to the other patrons and it seems like in their quiet times their outputs are still slow. There is clearly a problem. Another downside of this restaurant is that there isnt ample parking available. Do not park behind the restaurants as you need to be a pretty good driver to get out thereafter. In closing I would never visit this restaurant again.
