The front desk staff of the doctor is extremely rude. I will never recommend this doctor to anyone if they treat the patients family this way then how are they treating their patients. I wanted to transfer my mother to another doctor but that is not event possible because I need to speak to the doctor to be able to do so and under not circumstances does the front desk allow you to speak to the doctor. This woman need to be fired or sent for customer relations training. She has no compassion, I wonder how she would have felt if it was one of her family members in the hospital and being treated in such a way. I am formally lodging a complaint against them.

I had an appointment with Dr SG Smit, and its the first day I have been on the medication he prescribed for me and I feel so much better, that I can breathe, the pain has gone away and it was worth every cent paying for the consultation. Dr SG Smit is exceptionally professional in his profession. He explains to every detail and is such a positive person and to the point in detail. Thank you so much I am so grateful for all that you have done to get me healthy.

Absolutely rude people working at the front desk, have been calling for 2 weeks trying to get information about a sonar that was taken for my mom that has a kidney disease with only 30% of her kidneys functioning. The nurse that did the sonar send the images and results sameday to the doctor on 21/01/2021 and still to this day no one has called her with the report to discuss her kidney problems.The front desk staff is absolutely the rudest I have ever dealt with, talking to you on the phone like you are an irritation for them.I will not recommend anyone to allow this establishment to handle their medical conditions.

Absolutely disgusting service. My husband was admitted to hospital a week ago with COVID. This doctor has made an effort to see him only twice in a week for a deadly virus. I called his reception to complain and was hung up on and she continues to hang up on me. She believes I gave her abuse when I said that I want another a doctor for my husband who sees his patients twice a day!!! Please stay away from this man and double check your medical aid accounts for what services he has charged for

I was very sick with Covid and admitted to hospital. After a week he did not visit me once other than showing thumbs up or down through a glass door some meters away from me. Nor did he check if medication was working [which it did not] I was full time on oxygen. I was discharged via a message from a sister after a week, dr saying he is not worried about my low oxygen levels! The same night I was admitted to another hospital and put in High Care. I could not breath. For 2 weeks I was treated intensly to get me better. Another week in ordinary ward to monitor and arrange oxygen for me at home before I was discharged. Just over 2 weeks at home and only now are being weaned off oxygen.I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS DR ABD EILL NOT RECOMMEND HIM. He is really not interested in his patients.... Dont know why he became a physician.

This Doctor does not have respect for elderly people he is loud and rude,he should not be allowed to practice as a Doctor!!!(i found the following complaint on the website called African Complaints.)Complaint /see African Complaints...Dr S.g Smit LinmedWhy is it taking so long to get a copy of filesI can only wonder why it is taking so long to get a copy of the patient file on my father who passed away whilst in ICU, under this Doctors Care? How can such a highly qualified person employ such an incompetent receptionist who doesnt bother to return calls, makes excuses and never provides feedback. 3 weeks later and Im still waiting. What is there to hide? I am told that when a patient passes away, the files are archived, and they dont know which box to look in - well how many of his patients have died since 10th August?Do I go to the Health Professionals Council to report this? In a very sad time, I have to deal with administration slobs. I took my Mother to this Dr and it’s nearly 2 months later and we still do not have a script for her chronic medication!!! He also hasn’t completed the Discovery form that I had to provide twice, because he lost the 1st one!!! This practice is completely unprofessional.He also requires a second visit of nearly R900 to give feedback from the 1st visit that was R1200!!! The tests was R3000!!! So after R5000 any many follow up calls we have nothing!!!I will not recommend this Dr!!!

Waiting 4 days for prescription, my mother (90)s heart pills are ready, call 2 times a day to ask after I paid 866-60 for visit, call 1 hour Friday will call me back now to pick up, 2 hours I call again, then until Monday, no prescription, no pills, .........
