Another spot I finally got to tick off my To Eat list. Luckily they managed to accommodate us without a booking BUT I would recommend booking in advance at Shed & Silo. Its well worth it.The menu is limited but what we had was amazing. For summer its definitely a place to see, as there is inside and outside seating and its situated in a lovely open space with the cute little shops on the side.We ordered the•Cider Pork Belly with Warm Potato Salad, Pickled Cabbage and Apple Chutney - Amazing, i would have like the crackling a bit more crackled, but thats just me 🤣•Chicken Prego Roll with Paprika butter, Rocket, Creamy Prego sauce and Wedges. Delicious, tasty and not too spicy.• The Organic House Salad, with mustard dressing added with ChickenPortion sizes are decent, the food is fresh and beautifully presented 👍🏼While venturing around, I noticed the Strawberry Margarita Cake, and being the Tequila fan my mind immediately went to the cocktail. So I asked the nearest waiter what is in the cake. She politely replied its a Cake with Tequila in it but the baker didnt put alot of Tequila in. My disappointment right there 🤣🤣, but I had to try it so I found our waiter Michael and asked him for a slice.I was then later advised that the Bakery is on-site that supplies them with some of their Cakes. This being one of them so we took a walk there afterwards and I complimented the baker. Will post about them separately 😁🍰 but what an amazing slice of cake. We went to Shed and Silo for lunch. The lunch was excellent. I had the organic salad with chicken which I enjoyed.The food was presented in an most appetising way. The service was good but we had better service on our previous visit.I can recommend The Shed and Silo if you want to have good organic vegetables on your plate.The horses playing and galloping in the distance makes a peaceful background while you enjoy your meal.

The food here is great and reasonably priced for the portion sizes you get. The atmosphere is absolute tranquility with fresh air, tasteful decor and a rustic look. There is a farmers market where you can buy fresh organic vegetables as well. Worth the drive if you dont live nearby!

This is a place to experience, absolutely fabulous.The food is out of this world. The ambience is magnificent. Background music soft gentle jazz, and the view, if you love horses, trot right over and get yourself a memory to cherish.

This is a hidden gem.I read a complaint about the portions being small however Ive always needed to take the rest of my meal away.They use quality, homegrown ingredients and all their meals I have ordered have been absolutely delicious and great value for money. Their Salmon bowl seems never ending and they do not skimp on the salmon at all.Their cake range is amazing and have yet to tried one I didnt think was absolutely scrumptious.They have almond milk and their coffee is superb.I definitely recommend a visit to this treat of a place, once dine ins are allowed again.

Beautiful setting in the country , ull think ur in the Cape on a leisurely afternoon sipping wine staring at the horses and snacking on well prepared and thought through delicacies - open sandwiches, bagels , breakfasts, cake. Desperately needed on the East Rand . A must visit!!

Beautiful clean place. Just a pity that we didnt know where we should go when we arrived. We stood around and eventually somebody came to asked us if he could help, as if we were intruders. Didnt know that we had to book a table. People booked a table and arrived just when we were about to leave. The waiters were moving tables and chairs, so what is the use of booking? The food wasnt exceptional outstanding. I doubt if I will recommend them.

I live in Cape Town. I attended my brother-in-laws Memorial, Saturday, 11th September.Everything was perfect and I know that Liesl was extremely helpful and professional. The two waitrons were always ready to assist as well. So, thanks so much to all involved for their excellent service and dedication.

Have been here twice now and both times a great experience. The setting is lovely with great facilities for a small function such as wedding. The food has been very good both times and absolutely no complaints about the reception we got, or the service!

What a wonderful unplanned brunch. On arrival we sat and watched the horses out in the field and listened to the neighing in the distance which was a lovely welcome. The ambiance, service and food was excellent and we cannot wait to return.

Scottish County feel little coffee shop. People are friendly and professional.We attended a cooking course demonstrated by Debbie Evens from Table Memories. A Christmas lunch to die for, the room was buzzing from excitement.

We had booked for Sunday lunch, and a table had been reserved. Fantastic food ( served hot and juicy ), to perfect timing of the chef, off an uncomplicated menu. Staff really attentive, friendly and efficient. Great ambiance, with great scenery of the horses across the way. Didnt notice disabled toilets, but maybe looked in the wrong place ! Overall a magic experience ! We will be back soon !

The ambience is great, Management staff helpful, friendly and more than happy to accommodate our needs. Coffee, cakes and service is very good and the view across the horse paddock and organic garden very relaxing.

Shocking service. Nice setting.My husband and I arrived at the The Shed & Silo at 11: 45am on a Sunday to have a coffee and cake. The restaurant was not busy at all with many tables open. We eventually found the manager and asked if we could sit outside as no body greeted or assisted us on arrival. The manager said it would be difficult to assist us as they have a 20 seater table arriving in 40min. We said we were just going to have a coffee and a slice of cake and that we should be out before the booking of 20 arrive. The manager agreed and seated us at a table that was not yet cleared. We were patient and waited 5 minutes for a waitress to come clear the table and take our order. She placed the menu on the dirty table and we had to ask her to clear & clean the dirty table. We ordered immediately so as not to delay the restaurant when the booking of 20 arrive. She took our order. A table of 5 arrived after us. Their order arrived before ours. We waited 30 minutes for a coffee and slice of cake. The waitress came to us after 30 minutes to tell us that our order is on the way. So we proceeded to wait patiently. Eventually we had to flag down another waiter. The manager came to speak to us, saying there was a confusion and that no order was placed for us yet. I told her that that was utter nonsense as the waitress just came back to us and said our order is on the way. The manager then went on about how busy they were. There were plenty of open tables and the table of 20 still hadn’t arrived. We left.Some advice: When you agree to serve a customer then serve them, else do not commit to it in the first place. I was testing the place out for a future booking on 30 people. I will rather spend my money elsewhere. Every table matters-no matter the size. Remember that next time when you prioritise a table of 5 that arrives after a table of 2:)

Fantastic meals in beautiful surroundings.

We celebrated my moms 70th birthday. We were a table of 12, and considered a large group so we had to pre-order our meals by the previous day. We all did, however it was a little difficult to get an idea of what we were ordering as there is very few photos to go by (facebook/ google/ website). We all enjoyed our meals, but some of us may have ordered differently upon seeing the other meals available. We ordered an apple cake for the table, and it was delicious. It was freshly baked (the edges were still crispy).We took a walk to the farm veg stall and were impressed with the variety of veg grown there.
