They have no doubt, perfect cars. Why shouldnt I recommend them? Try them, you will be well served.

We recently used SA Roadtrippers after booking through Motorhome Republic to hire a campervan for a trip from SA to Swaziland. We booked very well in advance. Then a few days before the trip I made contact with them to verify my booking and confirm all was in order including our cross border papers which we had requested when we initially made the booking. Motorhome Republic did not inform SA Roadtrippers of this, but the staff at SA Roadtrippers went out of their way to assist us with obtaining a vehicle which had the required documents.And we ended up getting an upgrade which was super awesome!!The vehicle was fantastic.Spotlessly clean.The handover process at collection and delivery with Amy and team was smooth and efficient.Overall a great experience and I cant wait to use SA Roatrippers again for our next adventure.

I would like to draw your attention to SA ROADTRIPPERSWe had a lot of problems with the bush camper we rent, we spent a lot of money for many reparations, we had to advance money (i.e. for the petrol), but they refuse to refund us.Because all these problems became significant, we had to change for a normal car with a tent, but SA Roadtrippers refuses to refund us the price difference between the 2 vehicules.In addition, it took around 2 months to get our deposit of 450000 ZAR backWe complained many times, but they did not reply to our e-mails, ignored our complaint and did not want to discuss anything. In addition, they wanted to charge us for damages, we do not know what it is about. And of course, they were not able to provide any proof.People who run SA Roadtrippers are not reliable, they are not serious, they are dishonest and this company should not be allowed to deal with tourists.I am not the only one having problem with SA Roadtrippers (you can have a look here or on their FB page).

Pay attention - they RIP YOU OFF after you return home! Persist on a receipt when returning your camper or they will charge you random damages after!Everything started well. SA Roadtrippers picked us up at the airport and after signing tons of paperwork we received our campers. We had a wonderful journey through South Africa. The hot water and the gas burner wasnt working (first disappointment). One camper had very low (but still legal) tire profile (second disappointment) , so we had to skip most dirt roads for security reasons.When returning the Campers in Cape Town everything went really quick! Two persons checked our campers for damages and wanted to bring us to the airport right after. I was really surprised that we didnt got a receipt or had to do any paperwork (we had to sign around 20 papers at pickup). I needed to ask multiple times what happens to our 45000 ZAR deposit (for each camper) and it felt like they didnt wanted to talk about that and just bring us to the airport quickly. They told us there are no damages and we will get a full refund - they only had to wait for traffic fines.The big mistake: I accidentally trusted Chey de Wet (Manager) and didnt consisted on a receipt that everything is fine.After a few weeks at home and multiple emails without an answer we started to worry about our deposit of 90000 ZAR. Over three weeks after Drop-off we received a partial refund (still 46000 ZAR missing). Multiple emails and 2 weeks later later, we received another refund (still 6000 ZAR missing).Until now, we never heard anything about not getting the full refund!I needed to ask WHY we didnt received the full deposit, and I got a short email telling me they charged us multiple damages and traffic fines - WTF?Sure im willing to pay damages, traffic fines (our fault) or missing equipment (we lost one wine glass and an egg-lifter as we told them on return) BUT you cant tell me everything is fine - no damage and charge me over 4000 ZAR after for damages like one? new tire. Im still not sure what damages they charged us. SA Roadtrippers told me in one email we cracked the windscreen in the other email they talk about a damaged fly screen.SA Roadtrippers stopped answering my emails.I never received pictures of the damages as requested.Camping in South Africa is beautiful, but choose your camper rental wisely!*** UPDATE ***😀 Good News: I got all my money back!👹 Bad News: SA Roadtrippers was not willing to refunded any cent!we had to open a case at the credit card company and they took back the missing deposit..🧐 Talk to your Credit Card Company and dont let this shabby company treat you like idiots 💪

Coution: Avoid rent campers in SA for Roadtripps by companies with such a brand on their cars. This would be an absolute rip-off company. ...(German at the end)The company SA Roadtrippers is an absolute rip-off company. They replace tires at the expense of customers, even with unlimited mileage agreement. They claim without any providing evidence after the trip, to have repaired allegedly, an alleged crack in the windshield. They are also very stingy in the inventory and woe one has not meticulously controlled this before himself. I have never experienced anything like this before, and I am really always very careful with rented material! You have to pay it, even if its not your fault at all.The compulsory deposit will not be booked as such but will be debited and repaid after all illegal deductions. Thus one has massive credit card fees for both bookings and the Roadtrippers additionally draw an inexplicable lump sum of 14% on the deposit ?!For all these reasons, I can only advise anyone, out of my experience, never ever rent Campers from this company !!!Not to speak of the not proper working warm water preparation, the not proper working gas stove and also not usable gas grill / braai. We do not get a compensation for that. We should be happy not to be charged for that.Incredibly: today (2 Month later) Roadtrippers offers to repay all withheld funds on the condition that we refrain from, respectively revoke all our bad reviews like these! So you have massive credit card fees for both bookings and the roadtrippers additionally charge an inexplicable flat rate of 14%.For all these reasons I can only advise from my experience never to rent campers from this company !!!Not to mention the improperly working hot water preparation, the improperly working gas stove and the unusable gas grill / braai. We dont get any compensation for that.
