Management is terrible. 2 prices on 1 item, when i highlighted it to a manager she says they will sort it out tomorrow.... i dont need the item tomorrow, i needed it today. These issues are experienced daily at this spar. Rather drive 2km futher to rynfield spar at Terrace. Big dfference in your shopping experience.

The food could be fresher and the specials more consistent with the need for them. Yesterday all the bread was expiring today but it was not on special... what are they doing to do with all that bread?

Its a great shop. It has almost everything in it. Lots of parking. Car guards. Opens early closes late. Friendly staff and management. Great location. Its a quick in and out shop.

The place is one of the easy facilities to go in an out without a lot of struggles even on the days of fuel increment where every motorists is rushing to fill up. The staff will handle every customer as part of the family. Their services makes it difficult to leave the garage quickly even when you were in a hurry.

I would rather shop at the nearest Spar than drive to another Spar that is way too far!

Its up to standard with all, you can find all essential and non essential items here.

Love the staff, they are all so friendly. Paying for your groceries is never a drag because your in for great conversations before you leave. Also very helpful.

When coming to baking, their cakes are never fresh, i once brought a cake and took it back thinking maybe they used an old flour for the day, they refunded me. Yesterday I bought another cake and still not fresh. The manager did not even try to apologise, was not even friendly.The tellers are the most friendly people.

On Wednesday I bought about 3 packets of chicken ,drumsticks, wings and breast. when I get home when Im about to cook the drumstick to my surprise the meat is a bit green in colour, and it off funny smell is coming out from it.....then guess what need to change what Im about to cook cause Spar in crystal park decided to put a meat that is off for us to buy. Thursday I took the meat back, yes they refunded me my money but the manager didnt even have a decency to apologise for the inconvenienced cause, if ever you will see me going to buy at Spar Crystal Park. I had been a loyal client to Spar, should I need to buy bread, I go there, do my groceries I go there...now no thanks, bad service from the manager. need to tale them to some kind of training in how to treat their clients

Usually I am quite the Spar fan but not with this branch...I dont know where to start the statue-like service or the absolutely appallingly dirty bakery and butchery sections also the deli was just as dirty and looked like it hasnt been cleaned in months the madam behind the counter was also more concerned about getting her nails broken then quick friendly service, what and utter dissapointment. I Am so glad I dont live there for I wouldnt be able to bring myself to shop there.They were low stocked or out of stock on every product and some of the goods on the rack had damaged packaging also some products were past the sell-by and some of the baked goods were damaged in the display (I mean really isnt that where you put the best goods).The manager had the worst attitude of all so I guess it rubbed off on the others.I would rather go to another branch of Spar even if I had to drive a distance to get there.The parking outside of the shop is also one of the unsafest I have ever experienced and the car guards are 2 in 1s car guards and thieves...I hate writing bad reviews about places although I would rather be honest steer clear and go somewhere else.Rvd

Very convenient, you find most of the food items you looking for.

I regularly go to this Spar as its close to my house and work. I have to say if you want something fresh e.g. from the bakery you need to go after 1 PM. In the mornings they have no fresh foods.

Wish I could give it zero stars, Ive bought a cake, milk-tart and custard tart from the spar for my wifes birthday. The cake was almost tasteless (although it looked extremely pretty), the milk-tart tasted a lot like jelly/gelatin and this morning 2 days later it became moldy after being in the fridge most of the time. The custard tart was inedible right from the start, the crust of it was so hard that you could barely cut through it and then the tart itself tasted really, really bad. Avoid any baking from this store would be my advice to you.

Ive never received such bad service from Spar-Crystal Gate in Crystal Park before.When I was there, I needed 2 make a payment via their money market system payment.The cashiers were very arrogant & impatient with.Non of the cashiers were helpful in any degree or what so ever.The Spar Crystal Gate - CRYSTAL PARK cashier staffre very incompetent.In most instances, theyd even still change from customers.So everybody doing their shopping @ Crystal Gate - Spar in Crystal Park, should always guard themselves there.

Reasonable prices,clean,friendly staff,you never que for long. Theres even a little coffee shop inside where you can have a bite.If you feel like having a braai but dont have a grill,you can purchase your meat and ask the cook to bbq it for you to take home at no extra cost.

No good food

The bakery is really awesome, the bread is amazing. But I only use this spar for anything else, because it is really close, you really have to check things for mould.
