A heads up for all international money senders, do not use the Western Union facility here unless you want to sit around the shopping centre for 5 hours waiting for your transaction to go through.I have dealt with Western Union in South Africa, Zimbabwe, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sri Lanka, Armenia, Thailand, Singapore and the Philippines and have never had this problem anywhere. Why I am told I have to wait to get feedback from the IT department for a problem is beyond me. Had I known the other banks just outside the door offered the same service I would have done it there instead.I was also told I can go for a coffee while I wait! What a nerve to tell your customer to go for coffee and to make matters worse I return and you have gone off to lunch! What a joke!Bidvest Bank, please stop offering a service you clearly cannot deliver.

Absolutely useless. If you want to exchange foreign currency they want proof of residence and flight tickets.. All the while when you already have a VISA.
