It would be ideal if it was completely halal, however there are a few products such as breads and cakes that are halal and those are so delicious.

Definitely worth the visit. Fresh cream (not.desert cream!) baked goodies, tarts and full cakes along with delectable savory pizzas, samoosas and Portuguese pies. Very yummy!

Well orginise, kept immaculately clean, and a wide variety of bakery product. Little bit on the expensive side, but well worth it.

I boughtbbacon and feta Samoosas, they were greasy and the feta didnt taste nice.

Another bakery thats stood the test of time. I can remember going here as a child. They still make one of the best Prawn Rissoles. I also remember their custard slices but that isnt the same anymore. Brings back memories of easter time when they have those Massive Easter Chocolate Bunnies on sale. Some of the cakes and rolls etc are still great. Havent had their cakes in a while. It does get rather busy and parking can be a problem at times. So get there early to avoid queues.

Jurita bakery has amazing cakes and fresh bread baked daily. The place was so clean and everything was well organized in the store.

The last two times I went in, I had to argue to have my food heated up.I like my food sizzling hot, its my preference.The food in the warmer may be fine for some but I ask for it to be heated up wherever I go. Difference is other places heat it up, the white lady at Jurita gives you lots of reasons why you shouldnt then when you insist she claims that the microwave is broken.Three months after the first argument she did it again last week, microwave is apparently still broken and the oven couldnt be used.I just told her to cancel the sale and didnt buy.Its my preference how I enjoy my food dont need a lecture .Will not be going back.

If you looking for a cake that tastes good, this is the place. Everyone will ask, where did you get it from.

Good pizza very affordable. They remind me of a small town bakery with their lay out and atmosphere going. Pies I had was good but their variety of sweets etc.... Difficult not to walk out with an extra bag cause it is just so fresh and looks appetising.

We were very keen to try Juritas Bakery and their pastries as theyve been around since the 60s.. They mustve been ahead of the times back in the day as the filling of the pastries were all processed meat with no flavour. The pastry is very dry and leaves an odd aftertaste in your mouth. Would choose a garage pie over Jurita bakery.

This is where I have been my girls birthday cakes since my elder daughter was only 8 years old and the younger one (who just celebrated her 15th birthday) on 9 January. Jurita Bakery is the epitome of bakeries have never looked back since my first accounter. I had the pleasure of going on 23 December as my first born daughters birthday is on 25 December Christmas Day and the younger one on 9 January, it was almost a double wemmy having to spend 2 glorious days at Jurita Bakery, shopping for birthday cakes. Visit them in Northmead, Benoni (the home of Chatlize Theron) East of Johannesburg, to make that special occasion extra special with the delicious cake

The hygiene in that place you can literally eat from the floor. The cakes are so fresh yoooh. Best place to buy the cake. I didnt see even a single fly near the cakes. At the Entrance you can smell the freshness of the bakery. Excellent service!!!

Love the pastries here, nothing beats the taste of this specific bakery! And dont get me started on how yummy there baklava is! Fresh and tasty, I just had slight confusion with the staff having been so quiet and not assisting on hand, other then that the pastries are the bomb!

This bakery is the best Ive been in. The place is neat and clean there is nothing that is out if place. I was impressed by their creamdinut which was out of this world. The cheesecake I bought the other day was also exceptional it was just right... it didnt have too much or too little of anything. I bought the caramel and cappuccino cakes:The caramel cake was a lil too sweet for me and it took a while for the cake to finish. It is caramel after all.The cappuccino cake was out of this world.. its not too sweet and the cream blends in nicely with the cake itself. And I love that the cinnamon is not too much either.Overall it comes highly recommended!

One of the few great bakeries left. supermarket chains have mass market sub standard stuff, whereas Jurita have delicacies baked to perfection. and unlike many supermarkets they use real cream.

A Benoni institution. The custard slices and deserts come highly recommend. That being said, adding a coffee bar and tables to sit would definitely take Jurita up a notch.

Jurita bakery has been in business for years. They have the most delicious rissoles, French custard slices, variety of breads, etc. They offer ready prepared meals and their pizza is reasonably priced and delicious. All their wares are freshly baked on site. When they advertise FRESH CREAM you are guaranteed that it is indeed fresh cream. I pop in regularly (almost daily) for freshly baked rolls or breads. My family love their bakes and whenever they come this end (Benoni) as they now live towards the north, they ALWAYS make a turn at Jurita and tell me how much they miss it! We dont have many bakeries around anymore - so happy that Jurita is still serving us after all these years.
