Nice family place to visit. Such a hidden gem. Loved all the animals. Has great play area for kids. The monkey Cafe has lots of things you can order.I would suggest a little ramp for those of us with strollers as getting into the pet shop is hard. And also the gate to the animal park. There is a beautiful shop for you can buy baby goodies. You can go get you Christmas elf there.
What an amazing place. Such a variety of animals, fish, snakes, spiders, rabbits, parrots, lemurs, howling monkeys, raccoons, white tiger and so much more. Facilities are very clean, very nice restaurant and the food was delicious. The best of all was the price. Entrance fee is very cheap and the rest was so well priced as well. We had such an amazing day. Thank you
Stunning place. We had such a lovely afternoon here. The Howler monkeys are just so beautiful as are all the other animals. Clean venue thats so well cared for. Delicious toasted sandwiches and refreshing slush puppies. So worth a visit. Our children loved it, especially feeding all the chickens, rabbits and tortoises everywhere.
Pretty cool place if you love animals and if you have kids or not. Very clean and neat. Can grab a bite to eat and have a drink. Animals are looked after really well. Wide open spaces. They also have a pet shop with exotic animals for sale. Nice play area for kids and its a party venue. Only critique is that there is no shady areas at viewing areas.
Always a beautiful place to visit. They are starting to expand and will have lots more animals to see. Have beautiful birds, monkeys, tortoises, snakes, earded dragons, terrains a crocodile and now even have a white Bengal Tiger..... Nice covered area to chill and relax and have something to eat and drink... Great place for kids and their parties..... A MUST GO TO Place for animal lovers
Great for a morning out with kids, they have loads to see from hamsters to hedgehogs in the petshop to parrots, tortoise and even 2 breathtaking white tigers in the sanctuary. Bring sunscreen and let the kids play in the play area while you have a drink (yes adult drinks 😉) and a bite to eat. Buy some me bunny food to feed the rabbits and Lamas. Really enjoyed it
This place was amazing! They definitely under sold how incredible this place is. Amazing animals including tigers, who are well looked after 🌟
Very nice, very clean, the kids and adults enjoy it. The ideal place for the family to spend time with each other. Thank you
A beautiful place to take the kids. Its not as big as the zoo, which is a bonus, especially if you have smaller kids - they can enjoy a lovely outing and still be home in time for a nap. Its a fun for the whole family because, as mentioned, there is not too much walking. I love escape close to home in the far east rand. No picnic baskets allowed but the food at the restaurant is delicious.
Affordable entrance fee.Nice play area for kids. Not the usual animals like in other parks.Something different!
Great experience love the monkeys and the white tigers , big play ground for the kids will definitely go again
This place is perfect for the little ones if you want to take them for an outing.
Good AND clean animals looked after and healthy, not like the JHB ZOO when that red little panda had a plate of chips with a sausage and tomato sauce. Will definitely go back in the future to monkey and bird park.
Lovely place for young and old. Great to enjoy the pets and animals. Neat, clean and well maintained. Entrance fee to the birds and monkeys cost R50 per adult. Aquarium for the sale of fish and other geckoes. Ample parking. Toilet facilities. Shop for snacks and light refreshments. Koi fish for sale as well. Covid-19 regulations maintained.
Lovely day out for our little people. Animals are well looked after, and their areas are always clean. The little tea garden has lovely food and divine coffee, playground is a hit as well!
A beautiful place to see such cool animals and a nice place to chill and have lunch. Food is really good. 🌿
Very nice and fun for a family outing. Kids love it!!Few animal are bit underweight, but most in good weight.
Great experience especially with the little kids, its like a small zoo with a play parkVery neat and a great variety
Had a lovely morning here with our granddaughter who loves the jungle gyms and birds although there are many animals and a place for a light meal.
Nice outing for the kids a definitely a must see.
It was great. Was even more of a surprise when we saw Bengals Tiger. I didnt know they had one
The place is beautiful but the treatment of staff is embarrassing and disgusting, I didnt have a good treatment at all nor feel welcomed. I felt like me and my family were not welcomed there, like someone is watching over us and worst-case was me being told food is not allowed by some guy working there who didnt even bother to say let me follow up with management even after I told him I phoned to confirm, had no interest and was too quick to assist the next person behind me. The experience wasnt good at all and didnt live any good impression.I
Very nice experience. The llamas/alpacas are ADORABLE! there is food that you can purchase to feed the monkeys, alpacas, bunnies and birds (R10 each). Its was an amazing experience. My 3 year old loved it. There is also a nice play area for the little ones and a cafe where you enjoy a meal while keeping an eye on the kids. They also offer party packages. Overall, it was a great experience and I would definitely recommend it.
The place is neat and tidy, it is a bit busy on Sunday. Great place to take the kids to. Lots of animals to see
Really nice place to take the kids. Well maintained, neat and awesome critters for the kids to see
Well managed, clean and friendly. Nice tuckshop and outside seating.
Wonderful outing for the kids
Nice, clean and beautiful
Loved it. Well maintained
Very nice outing for kids. Variety of animals not only birds and monkeys. Go see for yourself theres 2 surprising animals there...big cat is a clue. 😉
Well maintained and the cages and animals are always clean and you can tell they are well looked after. Definitely a good place to go with children.Plenty of birds and monkeys to see, some snakes and even a crocodile! You can feed some llamas and bunnies too. There is a large playground and lots of shaded seating by a little tuckshop for parents to sit and relax while the children play.
Amazing experience, great place for the kids, whats not to love💯🤍
Lovely place esp for the kids. Great animal interaction and not too big.
Lovely venue for a close to home afternoon outing
Great family place. Lots to do and wont break the bank
It was really great. Kids had loads of fun
Our little boy loves coming here. We always have a fun day here!!!!
We always enjoy visiting the Benoni monkey and bird park. The animals are incredible and we learn a lot about them.
Very disappointed in the communication via emails and telephone. had to look for another venue for my sons party. Lovely place, kid friendly. awesome day out.Pet shone needs to take the pets that arent for sale home or put signs up stating that pets arent for sale.
Very entertaining for the little ones, good food and the most beautiful tigers 🐅
Animals are well looked after and cared for.Id suggest bird baths in the parrot cages though - otherwise it was an epic outing
Great venue for children, not too big, with an interesting range of exotic animals.
Lovely morning out with the kids . My kids enjoyed feeding the bunnies and Llamas
Very professional staff. Place is clean and safe. Prices are not bad. Much to see. A nice place to visit with the family.
Wonderful place to come and see Monkeys and more. Great play ground for kids and food is available.
The staff is friendly, you can buy food so that the children can feed the birds, rabbits & the lamas. There is also a wide variety of animals to see. You can sit & have something to eat while the kids play in the play area.
Its a lovely place, and the variety of animals is incredible. However, the manager does not treat his staff particularly well.
Lovely family outing. Food is well priced and entrance fee is fair. Animals are all healthy and look happy
Looked forward to visiting after all the positive reviews. The place was crammed, no social distancing and half the people (not kids, adults) were not wearing masks. Definitely something they need to look at.
Nice place and cool play ground for the kids to play
It was away at the Benoni and Bird park.I would recommend any one to go and visit the w Park with there familie and special the kids and old people. We had a great time Susan Barnard.
A nice place for a quick visit with the kids but the entrance fee is a little hefty considering there arent many animals. The kids playground is fantastic and the animal enclosures are very clean and well maintained.
One thing that struck me about the park is that it is extremely tidy and well kept. There still seems to be some construction and finishing off to be done. Some of the cages and containment areas were empty and obviously still under construction. There were a couple of spelling mistakes on a few of the signs outlining the details of some of the respective animals in their respective cages - nothing that would create confusion though. The animals all appeared happy and well looked after. The entrance fee to the park wasn’t very high - there’s good value for money, especially if you’re visiting the park with young children. Lots of cool activities for them; An array of jungle gyms, a jumping castle, a sand pit, an enclosed area with bunnies where they can interact with them. Really a great place to go for a day out over the weekend; especially if you have young children. The tuck shop is well kitted out and had a wide selection of sandwiches, burgers, Prego rolls, boerewors rolls, pop corn, sweets, milkshakes, soft serve ice cream and milkshakes. It was slightly expensive compared to other places, however, I think it was really good value and considering that they probably do most of their business only on weekends, it makes sense to me that they need to cover their overheads by charging appropriately. I’m pretty sure that it’s not cheap to feed all of those animals and I don’t see the admission fee alone covering that cost. The food was good and their a friendly granny running the tuck shop.I think that there was a lot of money spent on the place and the owners clearly have a passion for this kind of thing. A place like this was sorely needed in Benoni and it was really a great idea! Well done to the founders of the establishment for a job well done!
Beautiful placeWell maintainedLots of animals to view
This is a lovely place to take children for an afternoon or morning outing.
A lovely little park with a variety of animals and birds and a little tea room and play area.
Was very nice experience. Will prefer other people also to go there.
Best Park I have been to clean friendly staff and the anamals where well looked after
Nice day out for everyone, has many tortoises and chickens running around (the chickens love cabbage and the peacocks love peanuts). You can buy animal food for R10 a bag (a small tub of nectar for the parrots, a packet of peanuts for the monkeys and a bag of cabbage and carrots for the bunnies, alpacas, chickens and tortoises). Cages upon cages full of macaws.Entrance to the place is R50 an adult. There is a little restaurant on site selling food, ice cream, coffee, tea ans alcohol. Very affordable. There is also a little petshop on site and there are four large koi ponds by the entrance. They also sell chameleons, snakes, scorpions, fish, chinchillas, naked rats and hedgehogs amongst other small animals. This place kept us busy for at least 2 or 3 hours. If you still have time you can check out the Dragon Koi farm next to the Highveld Honey Farm about a block away from this place.
Love it. Such a lovely place for kids
It was a fun day out with baba (1 year old). We had a great day. We were surprised that there were so many animals as we were expecting a smallish property with a hand full of animals. The Lorikeets at the entrance were the highlight, with them sitting on our heads and arms. We arrived at 09:30 and noticed that they are less interactive around lunchtime, which makes sense after so many people have fed them already. There are a couple of Lamas, lots of parrots, a small variety of other birds, bunnies, tortoise, turtle, foxes and the monkeys. Signage is a bit lacking, as we had to Google some of the animals, including the Lorikeets and owls (and hope we got the correct answers). The tea garden was nice for lunch, with a variety of dishes and drinks. They also serve some alcoholic beverages. On busier days, it would be interesting to see if the system at the café would hold, as it seems that things can get confusing for the waiting staff. We struck a quieter day, so it went well. There are various play gyms and a jumping castle, with a private party area next to the bunny pen.
Small venue for kids partys with an exspensive cover charge and shop. Large play area for kids and coverd benches to sit and eat your exspensive meal under. Kids got bored early as the bird cages was repetitive with only two or three different types of birds. Clean with lots of bins. Bathroom facilities also clean. One animal handlers brought out a snake for the children to touch.
Delightful space to take the kids to. There are quite a lot of animals to see. Our kids really enjoyed playing with the bunnies. Some enclosures are difficult for small kids to look into, you would need to lift the kids up. Most enclosures are cages so easy to look into.New enclosures are being built to add to the park. There is a shop & seating areas to enjoy your food purchases. The entrance is a pet store as well.
Wonderful afternoon spent there. Animals well looked after and take away food was very good..people kept to social distancing..will definitely go back
Park is beautiful and well maintained. Perfect afternoon out for the kiddies. I just found the kiosk to be a bit expensive for the quality of food, but except all proceeds are going for a good cause.
What a lovely outing, godson thoroughly enjoyed all the animals and jungle gyms. Cappuccino was also good
Fantastic visit!! Our kids loved visiting today!
Very nice outing for the kids and always clean
Very lovely place, awesome day out for the family, not too crowded, The white tigers is just too amazing.
Fantastic outing, good pub styled food, save place for our little one to run around and interact with cool animals, nice playground in the middle of it all to keep a close eye
A lovely morning spent looking at animals staff very friendly. Clean and very well maintained
Variety of monkeys, lemurs, foxes and birds. Entrance a bit expensive. Serves basic meals at reasonable price.
Very nice place. animals is very well fed and active.
Good place to be out with family, kids really enjoy interaction with animals and playing around.
Weekday visits are decently priced and its closely to most living in the northern parts of Boksburg or Benoni and Kempton Park. Theres a lovely little coffee shop serving lights meals Ive creams drinks and some alcoholic beverages, too. Entry fees double on the weekend.
This park has something for everyone!
Pleasantly surprised by the good service and how clean everything was. From the animal cages to the playground.
Great place for a family outing!
Kids absolutely love it! Even when it started raining, the team quickly made a plan for people to sit
We love this place! Lots of fun for the children and the whole family. Great variety of animals, all of them taken well care of. Cages are large, always clean, nót bare at all, but unique to what each animal type needs. Food at café is good, staff and grounds keepers are always working and serving. A really great place! Best of all is to see the amazement on your child’s face when they see the animals and interact with them.
A wonderful day spent with family. My 4 year old daughter loved it
Beautiful family outing. Nice big cages clean ....Just needs to sort entrance fee out. Some load others not
Very desappointed....big birds in small cages without any tree to climb on. Many are alone in their cages. One caiman in a very small space and all alone as well. The white tiger alone....i thought it was a monkeys and birds park. And the sale of alligators and little monkeys is not a good thing. I will never go back there.
Very nice and relaxing. Very neat and clean
Love it, lots to see and kids enjoyed it😺
Beautiful place. As animal lover I like this place. Most animals rescues. Clean and hyghienic no fowl smell. Kids can have experience with animals otherwise wouldve never seen . Resturant good food for take away
Its was really worth the drive , my kids enjoyed themselves 👍🏻The white Tiger is a must see 💯👌🏻
