I phoned Red Canyon Spur 4 times around 7pm on the 16th of September only to have them reject all my calls. I then drove there to order a take away. Upon arrival i waited at the please wait to be seated sign for 5 minutes with no one assisting me as there was no one at the register. I then walked around the register and took some pictures of everything behind there, when someone finally showed up.The staff was friendly and helpful, however it was very busy and not adequately staffed. This situation was not the staffs fault but the owner. If I were a lesser person I couldve walked away with the entire till and everything in it.

Waiters are very good. There are no play area for the kids. Much better to go across the road to four sheep.

We had breakfast and there was only one waiter. He did a good job in managing the customers.Management more staff is needed during this time.

One of the best Spur Steak Ranches I have ever been to.Food is of amazing quality, and looks just like the pic in the menu.Great service.Definitely one of the best restaurant choices in Beaufort West.

On my way to Kimberley we stopped here. To my surprise they closed at 8 . I made sure to go early on my way back home. As you enter they take your temperature and sanitize your hands. The food was up to standard. Very nice. Not crowded at all. Waiters friendly and polite. Best onion rings of all the spurs. Steaks not bad. The most worrying is that the waiters mask keep coming off. I had to ask her to put it right on. We had a small baby with. This was really stressful because I was keeping my eye her to see if she walked past. Otherwise great place

Its a Typical spur. Friendly helpful staff, known food, if a bit surprisingly expensive for what it is. Great if you are too tired to explore.

MOST DELICIOUS SPUR MEAL IVE EVER HAD!!! The waiter was incredibly friendly. And our food was ready quickly and was well cooked. The eggs and chips tasted how eggs and chips tasted when I was a kid. This spur really does the flame grilled meals.

Very clean and well kept Spur with all the usual trimmings, Id like to mention that Im uploading this review using their free WiFi (it isnt that feeble crawling around, looking for water in the desert kind of WiFi either). The staff have been lovely and provided excellent table service. Our party enjoyed perfectly prepared meals and we look forward to returning when next were in the area.

We stood for about 15mins by the wait to be seated sign. It didnt appear to be busy. Various staff passed by to the till etc and not one asked if we were being helped. We then left and went down the road and had excellent service at steers.

Drove the whole day and was looking forward to a juicy quick bite before falling on the pillow before an early wake up and travel.Unfortunately, the burger was not so juicy. Patty was dry and the bun crumbled in my hands, not so fresh I guess. Same went for my girlfriend and her burger buns.Luckily the staff were very helpful and kind!

They have all the facilities and a smoking area but my night was Abit like a teaching course. They had a trainee serve me and she did not know what was in the menu. Not her fault but I blame management for not bringing an experienced waiter with the trainee. I dont work for spit so I shouldnt be teaching any employee there

The service was friendly and speedy. Given it was in the week and the restaurant was not extremely busy. Our Bar One milkshakes actually had pieces of Bar One in them. Not something we are used to seeing in Cape Town. Food was also nice. Overall a very good experience.

Service was great, meals were below average for a Spur though, something was just lacking. Staff adopts good cleanliness and hygiene practices, very friendly and helpful team. I thought I had left my phone at the restaurant and they rushed to check the cameras for me. It is a reliable staple though.

Waiter was good, food was great. Would of liked to be greeted by people at reception area when entering as there is a sign that said wait to be seated but people behind station did not acknowledge us. 10/10 forfillet steak. Well done.

Visited Beaufort West this morning to see how this town has changed since we were here 40 years ago. We visited Donkin House which was basically a boarding house but is now a 3 star rated establishment. Thhr Spur still serving a great breakfast in up rated establishment.

I eat at Spur restaurants regularly. This Spur in Beaufort West was probably the worst Spur i have eaten at in my life. The food was clearly old...i ordered a burger. The roll was old, the burger patty was not the Spur burger patty i am used to. Sour cream for baked potatoe was not sour cream or maybe it was not fresh aswell. I tasted it but rather left it unused.My sons usual coffee shake did not taste like a coffee shake. The waiter who was a trainee did his best so no problem there. We were a family of 4 and everything we ordered was far from close to what we are used to dining at Spur. Take this as constructive criticism and get the quality where it needs to be. I will not be eating here again

They were short staffed today the 7th March but they did their best the grillers Kennedy and Michelle did more than their part.michelle had to work by grilling and waiter.kennedy had to grill and worked at the beverage counter.were the manager had a mouthful to say about the staff .but he was the one that just stood around doing nothing.well done for the staff at the red canyon spur at Beaufort-Wes.your the best.

Stopped over in Beaufort West on a trip to Cape Town from Johannesburg. The person who took my take out order over the phone was so polite and friendly and even called me when my order was ready for collection. If Im in the area again Ill definitely pop in to experience the sit down restaurant.

Disappointing. Overnight stop at Beaufort west on our way to Cape Town, needed a good meal so was willing to pay a little more than fast food. Got takeaways from spur. there was no staff to greet at entrance, ordered a bake potato with the meal and received a dried up burnt reused potato, does this look an appetising baked potato? rather tell your client you do not have baked potato if all you have is something you wouldnt eat yourself. I wouldnt recommended red canyon spur

Worst Spur in SA.Dirty floors, playplace in a bad state(nothing works, dirty, no assistance...) - playplace attended ignores customers and hangs around till.Never again!

Onion rings was still soaked wet in oil and crumbs hardly still sticking. We are pensioners and ordered according to pensioners menue...had to pay full normal price

I dont drive a 1000km just to get told sorry we do stock take on Sundays and close at 19:00 with a Restuarant full of people!! As you drive in they run and try to close the outside gate...18:58....Well i parked outside as i was locked out the parking lot by the car guard....walked to the door....The Door says Sundays and Public Holidays 20:00. The Internet and Google Maps say 20:00. I think you just do not want the business. Only after I confronted a Waiter outside...now you want me to come in and order. Really? After telling me sorry no we do stock take on Sundays an close early.Where is the Manager you called? Spur does not care about business! Maybe just this one.Great start to my Honeymoon! Thank you Spur!Thank you Wimpy! Someone is glad to have our business! Rather make the first turn off to Wimpy when entering Beaufort West!

The food is above average but the service let them down, you asked for something so simple and it takes ages, even though there is no other customers in the restaurant, the WiFi never works, I stopped more then three times and I could never connect with thier voucher system.

Absolutely no service! Walked in, waited to be seated, waitress made eye contact but didnt greet us and failed to seat us. We decided to seat ourselves, waited at the table with my husband standing no staff member approached. I could only see one waitress and two trainees. No manager in sight.

This Spur should become a training branch for Cape Town branches who delivers sub standard, dry food and waiters who feels you owe them a favour. Def changed my mind about Spurs.
