Sublime food, awesome staff. Gem in Eastern Cape

Wow, what a wonderful restaurant. The food took a while to come, but it was definitely worth the wait. The salads accompanying the meals were divine with fresh herbs, toasted sunflower seeds and pesto. The burger was really delicious and the pork belly was incredible. Nice chilled vibe.

Blown away by the flavour experience I just went on!! 🔥🍄My advice: order the vegan option !!

Went there on a Monday for Steak Night.Fantastic concept of choosing your own piece of meat with sides.... Oh so many delicious side dishes 😍I would recommend this place to the Queen if she were to ever come to the small town of Bathurst 😅

We went to Laras for mothers day and it was probably the longest we have ever waited for food but when it eventually arrived the food was good. We canceled deserts as we had waited for 2 hours for drinks and our mains. I arranged for vegan options a month prior to my arrival and sadly they only had one vegan option being the main meal and no starter or dessert which I found rather disappointing as I was under the impression there would be vegan options available and had I known it was only one option and that I would sit and watch everyone else eat starters and desserts I would have most likely made another plan. It was a bitter sweet experience. I would return again as I did enjoy the main meal but not on a day of an event.

Monday is steak night value for money wit an extensive buffet, sauces chips and onion rings. Accommodating of my bizarre eating condition and with friendly staff catering to our requirements. Steaks were met with unanimous approval and the vegetarian option delighted the resident V man.

Absolutely delicious, fresh, exuberant flavor. Tastes and variation you struggle to get in the city. Slow food in taste, but they were quick and efficient. Delightful atmosphere. Loved the eighties retro classic soundtrack, and brilliant service, so accommodating.

Laras menu changes daily, but always lives up to the excellent standard that has been set.The unusual table settings and mismatch cutlery may put some off, but the tables are always neat and clean.The friendly staff and efficient service compliment the amazing food and atmosphere.The road is a little suspect and cautious driving is recommended for anything lower than a Yaris.

We had a wonderful lunch here today, party of 4, mains, dessert and a nice bottle of wine. Between us we had for mains: roast pork belly (tender, succulent and flavourful), beef fillet (cooked medium and very good), duck breast (cooked beautifully with a lovely crisp skin) all served with roast potatoes and a selection of vegetables. And for desserts Don Pedro, amarula creme brulee and a cheese board - all very enjoyable and nicely presented.

I have eaten here before and the food is great, after trying to book and having lara being extremely rude I will not be back. I went to the Warf pub in Port Alfred for a meal thats just as tasty with politeness, and charm.

Really enjoyed her food. Looking forward to my next meal there.
