A true marvel! We spent a weekend at Angels rock and the peace and tranquility is intoxicating! The cottage is fully equipped with every possible amenity that you would need! The filter coffee machine was particularly appreciated as we set the timer to brew our morning coffee ready for the sunrise. The hike down to the river was challenging but well worth the journey! The landscape is strikingly beautiful and makes you feel like you are far away from the city. We had so much fun with Wilmarie and Kevins furbabies! They accompanied us down to the river and joined in on our splash in the refreshing water. We will definitely be frequenting the stone cottage, scenery and breath-taking night skies!

This is a really great place. For starters the setting is really beautiful. Other important aspects for us were the close proximity to Pretoria, the true dog-friendliness of the place, the ability to walk wherever we wanted and the exclusivity (we saw nobody else on our weekend). The accommodation is comfortable and the host (Wilmarie) is very friendly and accommodating. Visitors should be aware however that the road isnt in good shape and we doubt that a low sedan would be able to get there without difficulty.

Private, secluded, quite, rustic and beautiful surroundings

Such a special place that we love visiting. It’s very peaceful and not far from Johannesburg which is perfect if you want to get away without having to drive for hours. A beautiful, cosy stone cottage which is well maintained and equipped which makes you feel like you are home. Love sitting on the rocks or deck looking out at the amazing view with coffee in the morning or with a sun downer in the afternoon. We enjoy hiking so really great that you can walk down to the river or appreciate the view from the top of the cliff face. Evenings are great for sitting around the fire. The hosts Wilmarie and Kevin are such lovely people, very accommodating and friendly!

Wonderful, secluded getaway. Not too far from the city, but far enough to unwind... Saw beautiful Kudu on our drive in. You can go for a hike, swim in a refreshing pool or just relax whilst looking over the kloof...

Virtully one of the best venues in Gauteng, I do not believe that much can compete with this serene, calm, secluded venue. Ideal for a small group that needs to disconnect from the hustle and reconnect with nature. The personal attention, flexibility and support of the owners are best in class. I find it hard to believe that this venue can disappoint anyone.

If you need to break free from your weekly routine and busy everyday life I would highly recommend Angels Rock. We enjoyed every second of our weekend on this beautiful farm. The view from the Patio is absolutely amazing. A 25min walk down to the river for a lovely pic nick and fresh breath of air. We felt right at home the moment we set foot through the door. The cottage is fully furnished, clean and organized. They have activities available for every family member. Thank you to the friendly hostess for a memorable weekend you will definitely see is again.

One of the most Serene and peaceful places I have ever been. The rock cottage is truly a pleasure to stay over in and the the owners went out of their way to accommodate our every need. The scenery is breathtaking. Can not wait to visit this wonderful place again.

A little piece of heaven surrounded by nature - tranquil and secluded. We didnt want to leave, we really enjoyed our stay. The hosts are super friendly too, they really made us feel at home!

Cant get enough of the fresh air and natures surrounding. Good exercise to river and back. Bird watching and a variety of animal sounds so peaceful

We had a one day girls break away at angels rock. The house is spacious and fitted with all the necessary self catering items plus books and games. The bedding was super soft! The silence and stars and animals make it a perfect setting for rejuvenation. We had a walk to the river and my dog Laika was living her best life. Thank you Wilmarie.
