The ladies working there are very kind efficient and understanding, unfortunately they couldnt renew my vehicle license because they said that it must be renewed in the original magisterial area. So I am now driving illegally. Stupid system!!

Sometimes you get great service, sometimes you get bad service. Its always a gamble.As a general rule - try to call ahead and ask what documents you need and what it costs what youd like to have done (if they answer). If they dont answer, or do, either way - just try to bring all of the documents with you and come EARLY. Bring all the necessary documents youd think youd need. Rather sit there with more documents than you need, than being sent home/to another place to fetch documents.

No answer after numerous calls. Tried to report cows on the R60 towards Swellendam.

What a great experience !I approached the traffic department to renew 3 motor vehicle licences with trepidation expecting a long wait .I prepared my documentation before hand to expidite matters .I was welcomed by a friendly person who checked the documents, took my temperature and details. In less than 15 minutes all three licenses were issued and I was on my way !Well done to all at the office it was a 5 star experience !

One of the most pathetic traffic departments. I was told to sit and wait they will call me to get my documents. After waiting more than an hour I asked again, hey I’m still here, when will my documents be out??? ‘No sorry you need to rejoin the queue’ WTH??? Wasted all this time because communication sucks! Get to the front. Sorry we need another form. Join the queue again!
