A delightful experience to visit this rustic, authentic little venue.Our fresh fish dish was really ocean fresh.

A true local gem with a wonderful view of the sea. We sat outside with our two dogs, and enjoyed the fresh calamari and fish. The waitron was friendly and their service was quick. Very casual vibes. If you find yourself in Arniston, give Willeens a visit!

A rustic arts and craft shop and restaurant stirs your heart to enter. Willeens restaurant is a must visit if you visit Kassiebaai at Arniston. Amazing seafood and an earth shattering omelette is served. Ensure that you have enough money to spend on the arts and crafts and yummie cookies.

What a lovely peaceful setting. We had the calamari as well as the mussels and both dishes were outstanding, and amazing value for money. But I must add that the mussels were the best I have ever had and I have eaten many mussel dishes all over the world. Thank you Willeen. It was lovely to meet you and your family.

Wileens restaurant is a small home-run indigenous gem in Kassiesdorp right on the ocean in Waenhuiskrans. This charming restaurant gives you a taste of the South African way of living in a tiny fishermen’s village. Wileen is in the kitchen where she prepares the authentic SA dishes. We were served by a shy but friendly young man. We had bobotie, rice and sambals with a glass of soda inside the restaurant with its colourful interior. I bought some of the handmade goodies. We have really enjoyed our bobotie and the atmosphere. Make sure you visit when you are there. On a warm sunny day you can eat outside, feelthe sea breeze and listen to the ocean. Then afterwards make sure you take a leisurely stroll on the soft white beach.

It is nearly impossible to find fresh fish in restaurants. We had kob with yellowtail fishcakes.

We had a seafood platter for dinner with yellowtail, fish cakes, calamari, prawns, mussels, curried fish and rice. Very tasty, but would have liked some tartar sauce. It was a good quality home cooked meal. You can bring your own wine, no corking fee!

Awesome find.If you expecting mainstream, youll be sadly disappointed.But, if you want to support this far out community and just enjoy an experience youll enjoy it.

We had a function with over 100 adults and kids, the food was fantastic and the whole event was so well run and organised by the staff. Highly recommend Willeens for good food and beautiful views.

Superb dining. Expect the cultural experience of the area, but with this in mind youll struggle to do better in terms of a catch of the day, amazing calamari or slap chips. A authentic but romantic setting unique to the heritage houses that surround Willeens.

WONDERFUL! Fantastic meal was had by all. We had fresh kabeljou, calamari, prawns, fish cakes and mussels. Every single plate was wonderful and the malva pudding was great too. Honest, fresh food made with love. Dont let the outside fool you, you wont be sorry.

Ordered the Prawn Main, Calamari Starter and Fish Cakes Main. I was not expecting 5 star dining but rather a local affair. The overall setting is ok but the food and staff require considerable improvement. All the food except the prawns were bland and lack lustre and the portions were skimpy ,given that the menu is not that cheap it is not value for money. The cob end of lettuce was used in the salad and no sauce provided with the calamari, I had to request this. The card facilities also did not work and we waited 25 minutes for an attempt to sort it out, the staff require some training in basic communication and etiquette.

Went for lunch asked for Calamari and chips and we were told that they not making chips today. Staff unfriendly and we felt that they were just trying to get rid of us. I asked them do they have potatoes they confirmed that they did hut they were adamant .....no chips. So we went elsewhere.

Willeens is as good as local gets. Sitting outside with a cooldrink and looking out at sea, mouth watering as you wait for the Gatsby or Roosterkoek you ordered. It is very laid back and a good outing-spot for the family. I will return again and again.

No scones, very small portions of cheese and jam with day old brown rolls. Had to ask twice to have it warmed up a bit and received no milk with the coffee. A great big PITY as the place has such natural potential to be a tourist magnet and would speak for itself, if just a little more care was taken with the service and fare that goes out to the patrons. I dont expect fancy, just fresh and homemade. Homemade jam for instance!Although the area is breathtaking and wild I do NOT recommend Willeens for anything more than coffee (without milk!). I will not visit twice.

No one in the place, waited to see menu but no one came so we left

Willeen, thank you for a wonderful celebration of my 60th last night. The crowd of twelve loved the atmosphere and lovely food.... yellow tail, oxtail and bobotie. And then the best malva pudding ever! We all appreciate the effort you have put in to make it a special occasion!
