The View has outstanding views, beautiful, huge rooms with everything that you need and very safe

The rooms are spacious and beautiful, the sea views pictures on the hotel’s website are a little deceiving as the sea is rather far. The restaurant is pricey but not much of a variety the food is amazing though! The spa very average for the prices and also the flotation therapy is basically like a jacuzzi bath no floating at all and the lady at reception provided a phoney answer as to what flotation therapy is.

Poor service from check in.We were given a 5 minute lecture on taking things from the room will be charged to us.Stuff was taken out from the minibar by the Hotel on the 2nd day, without letting us know.We enquired with Dylan at the Hotel desk why stuff was removed without notifying us, and he was very rude about it.Stayed at multiple 5 stars before, and this was definitely not a 5 star.

Really spacious room, friendly and welcoming staff, incredible breakfast - overall beautiful place.Not 100% clean as the room we occupied had dirty curtains but other than that, really lovely.Thank you :)

Front desk was not friendly or helpful.Mini bar items removed from the room without notifying us.Lights flickering.Noisy staff outside the rooms in the early mornings.Definitely not worthy of the 5 star rating.

Food is good but please may we request a menu change more steak options not only fillet. And buy hake fish for R240 is totally insane can it atleast be a fine cut dorado or salmon. And more dessert options please. Thank you!

This place is absolutely breathtaking.Definitely lives up to its name. Staff is friendly and hands-on.The rooms and service is immaculate and the price is a total giveaway. I cant wait to be back.Handy tip: take R1000 cash for damage deposit or use credit card. No damages=no charge/cash and card details back.

It is an extremely beautiful hidden gem in the coast of Amanzimtoti. It’s so welcoming with so many features. The rooms give you that “come in and you’re welcome “ kind of a feeling. The pool side view is to die for👌👌👌 I may take another trip there.

The View has a 360 degree view of Amanzimtoti in Kwazulu Natal. It also has a beautiful hotel, and the staff really make the experience as hospitable as possible. Luanda, for example, got up even earlier than us, to make sure that we were on-time for our breakfast, which only opens at 7am usually – but the hotel accommodated our need to make our scuba dive time in the early morning.I am so grateful to Luanda and The View team, for the great hospitality, that left a wonderful impression on us.

Firstly, the sea view pictures are misleading. This place is no where near the sea yet you pay extra for a sea view, only to be met by trees. We got the wrong rooms and the stuff wasn’t willing to assist with changing them. We had to wait in line for about an hour to get a table just for breakfast. Absolutely no value for the money we paid.

The property and room was beautiful, so fancy. The staff were amazing and super friendly and helpful. Jason and Andre went out of their way to make our stay super special and romantic with a surprise 3 course dinner (arranged by our booker) on the belcony with rose petals, candles and personalized messages. We had the best time after our wedding and appreciate all the love and kindness.

The View Boutique Hotel and Spa has a beautiful view from most angles. But too many staircases....very exhausting

Awsome rooms, comfortable bed

All I can say, throw your money away!!!The one star is for beautiful place with spectacular views. There are rats that are running inside the ceilings, the beds are squeaky and the showers are flooding. Do leave you possessions on the floor not even shoes. To top it all, the attitude of the management including the owner, is something else.

Excellent and tranquil but ask ask for rooms away from reception, it can get a little noisy. Gym needs an upgrade, kit is from the middle ages and can benefit from more space. Otherwise, fantastic place to be with Excellent service.

Im at the View Boutique currently, some guests are making lots of noise, I asked reception to sort it out but no luck, I guess in the morning I will check out and find another hotel to stay, I will request a refund for the remaining two nights.

Im not in the habit of giving bad reviews and not about to start now, but I will give a neutral opinion. Was there a view? No. Was it adequate accommodation? Yes. Breakfast was tastefully prepared. Room service was quick and efficient but not particularly tasteful. Necessity for maintenance on the rooms starting to show with peeling paint and loose tiles. Will I be returning? No.

Do not book at this place ever! Opt for better choices in close proximity like Protea Hotel - Fire & Ice, Coastlands Hotel or 305 Guest House. There were rowdy neighbors playing music & partying till 3.30 in the morning. The facility did not even answer their phone the whole night to complain and in the morning when we did eventually complain (after an altercation with the people next door since we had to resolve the matter ourselves) - both the owner & the manager Andre couldnt be bothered & didnt even apologize - all they had to say was their security guard didnt report anything! Pathetic service - go to a facility that knows how to treat their guests!

I did not stay but made use of the March Spa special what a disappointment the hour massage was 45min no gift or cocktail and an hour wait for pre order light meal. We considered to stay a night or 2 but decided against it

It was my first time having a treatment at the spa. The worst pedicure ever. The Therapist over filed underneath my mums feet that her feet is literally burning. The standard of their pedicure is so poor seems as if there has not been adequate training. The nail polish did not dry properly after 2 hours that it smudged. Horrible first time experience

I booked for a sport massage therapy. Instead of getting the knots out my back I got a normal massage. I dont know why I even filled out their form.

Paying R220 for a 200 gram (?) fillet of beef that my wife had to send back as it was medium rare - she ordered medium. R35 for veggies (a little cauliflower and onion) costing probably R3.50! French fries tasted like oven bake fries. Total account 748.00! Winelist fine, but what about very good more affordable wines like Alvis Drift Fleur du Cap or Nederburg? Tip was included by management which did not gave me the opportunity to decide for myself. Seems we paid for the 5 stars of the boutique hotel and not the meal. Wont see us again.

Well we went for breakfast the waiting staff were not good .. brought the coffee then we waited so and waited for menus. at all you have to ask for thing 3 times or more. bring half yr breakfast then the toast 10 mins later then u have to ask for the butter and jam then u have to ask another 2 times for the causes and pepper... ag no thank u Id rather eat breakfast at thirsty Whale

Nice little boutique hotel in Durban. Close to the wedding venue we went to, good breakfast, clean room, good sized room. Huge pool. Reception staff could be more friendly though and the adapters in the room didnt work so I couldnt use the hair dryer. Took forever to get a replacement adapter. Good location and nice views.

This place is a true get away and lives up to its name. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. The high walls give you a maize effect and a felling that your in another place. It is beautiful during the day and at night. And there is stunning views were ever you go. The room we stayed in was spacious and clean. The breakfast was lovely and the set up very trendy. Lots of pools. There is a spa and gym. The view boutique is a place of beauty.

Came here for the spa facilities.My booking was over the phone with Janine, it was hassle free.On the day of my appointment a very friendly African lady (forgot her name) contacted me to remind me of the booking.She went out of her way to make sure all our needs were taken care of.The Detox floatation therapy pool is a MUST!Im definitely going to book another session

The worst experience ever at the Spa. The soles of my feet are hurt from the dry filing after asking me asking why feet was not soaked first. It is almost a week and I am in excruciating pain.The GM tells you to come back... Why would I after my experience?

Had an awesome stay at The Views, being a 5 star i must say that they pay attention to detail. I think their menu needs to be improved, for instance the taste was good but it had fewer options. Visited the place at a time when the country experienced stage 6 loadshedding and the hotel everything in could to support and serve us.

The place is so beautiful and clean. The view is absolutely amazing and the staff is so friendly. From reception, restaurants n maintance. I will most definitely come back back for the spa.

It was a great stay, beautiful surrounding and place. The true meaning of a 5 star, but unfortunately the service was a bit clumsy. They left garbage( pizza box and gin glasses that had lemon in) that they were suppose to clean on our balcony table. Which attracted cats. But it was great stay.

Friendly staff, beautiful view excellent services provided

I had such a bad experience this time around. Checked in on the 18 June and didnt have hot water. Reported the matter immediately and Chris did his checks and promised hot water will be available in an hours time. Woke up in the morning with cold water mind you I have to prepare for work. I had to be taken to another room to have a bath....cold water again in that room.So I went to work trusting that when I come back all will be resolved.....only to come back to cold water.Eventually after throwing a tantrum I was moved to another room which had hot water.I thank the guy who went out of his way and checked the water and ensured that I was moved to another room. And even checked on me in the morning If all was ok in the other room.

You know when a friend tells you of a place being beautiful and you like asking yourself what is the big fuss then you get to experience it yourself. What am trying to say I have never seen such a beautiful place and with everything that you might need and want without having to ask for it. The staff is so professional and friendly especially the FOP, they were the best. Thank you so much this is going to be my second home.

We ended off our honeymoon at The View Boutique and what a treat! We were wined and dined by super friendly staff. Had a luxury room with a really spectacular view! It has its name for good reason.

Tried to call reception before check in to see if they can help me organize something romantic for the engagement but the lady at reception seemed occupied and uninterested and told me use the grass open for every guest.

We popped in to Giorgios at the View for a quick lunch and wow, what a pleasant experience. I had the vegetarian pizza with caramelized onions and gorgonzola cheese, its the best pizza Ive ever eaten. Thin based and toppings bursting with flavour. You can expect us when were in Durban again. Stunning venue as well.

They insisted on taking my credit card copy for breakage. We were treated like we were thieves. The rooms are nice and the place does have an incredible view of the Indian Ocean. I did not like they way we were treated while staying there.

The place looks great the moment you set your foot on the property. Cleanliness is unquestionable. The staff is very friendly and attentive, was amazed by Chris nd his calmness, also assisted us greatly.

We booked the 3 bedroom villa for 10 days. After a few initial hiccups, the managers were very accomodating and did not hesitate to assist us. The villa is excellent for families who want to enjoy an extended stay with young children. All hotel ammenities were available to us. The spa was excellent and staff were very welcoming. There is daily cleaning services and a laundry service available. The villa comes with a private swimming pool and jacuzzi. There is also a restaurant on site that also provides fast and efficient roomservice. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Had a room by the pool which was great. Only provide a tiny bottle of water for the entire week of stay. Many stairs around the resort. Great view. Had only a Italian resturant in the hotel. Service was normal. The wait staff can be seen as bored at times but still did their job decently. Food never changes and is decent. Not the most fantastic food but average comparing with places like chef table in umhlanga. Gym was basic. Some equipments were not functioning

Attitude of staff is good but theres no free wifi in the rooms after paying over 1000 rand per night. Also not impressed with the idea of being made to imprint your credit card details before check in. This was not discussed during booking online. One fears for the safety of their credit card.

Lovely view and glamorous rooms.Fantastic service.Limited menu for long term stay. A lovely winding road to the top a hill before you reach the lodge, which adds to the adventure. 😊
