They stock just about everything... decent product ranges and get great advice from the staff who are helpful and knowledgeable BUT ... they not the cheapest... actually they expensive... if they were more aligned to other hardware stores in Toti i would shop there more often... which is disappointing

What a disappointment. I must have walked around the store for a good 10 minutes looking for different items on my list. One staff member found her friend who was visiting and her mobile phone far more interesting that assisting me.A second staff member also obviously and deliberately ignored me, and even when I made a remark to the effect that their service was shocking, made as if he did not hear.At the main counter I was waiting to be served by the gentleman doing the quotations. There were at least 3 or 4 ladies present as well as a guy who was obviously a manager. Granted, he was busy speaking to another customer. However, as for the rest, I was simply ignored.After waiting for a considerable time I walked out. Build-it lost a R1400.00 sale.

The staff are exceptional. Ultra friendly and helpful. The only reason I cant give a 5 star rating is due to the fact that their pricing is a bit high compared to certain other shops. It is an absolute pleasure going there. Highly recommended for hardware purchases. I am a very satisfied customer.

Simply put they sell junk at premium prices, bought a solid wooden door from them, the door had to be slightly trimmed to fit the frame, in saying trimmed one push with a hand plainer reveals that this solid wooden door is actually only coated, underneath being a chipboard substance, NOT as advertised, very scaley. Just one of many reasons I dont go to this store anymore.
