Good and clean Wimpy with fast service, great food on the menu, friendly and helpful waiters and squeaky clean bathrooms. I always enjoy stopping here to stretch my legs and get a coffee or a bite to eat when I pass through Aliwal. You always feel welcome when entering here. The Parking is also very safe and secure so you dont have to worry about someone that wants to snatch something out of your car when inside. Keep up the good work! Will definitely come again!

Usual standard food but was shocked to see manager/owner not observe Covid rules with his kitchen staff preparing food. I had to speak to a waiter & ask him to tell the male chef to put on his mask which down around his neck. Not acceptable this lack of supervision by whoever was in charge. Felt like walking out.

Food okay. Great service and our small kids enjoyed he play area after a long stretch on the road.

Was attended to quickly. Food was the tasty and wel prepared. Located close to the old steel bridge structure but could not find a way to walk to bridge from the parking area.

Always a lovely experience but only 4 stars because the white toast was rock hard; my 3 year old grimaced after biting into hers. I turned mine back and asked for another slice. It could be that the white bread slices are thinner than the brown bread slices. The place is very busy but it is not chaotic. It is well cleaned and the restrooms are also clean. Waiter was friendly but was a little slow with the bill, maybe he did not hear us asking for it. All in all, however, a good experience.

Not much going for vegetarians. I told the Waitron I was diary intolerant but I still got feta in my salad he was also not sure what I ment when I asked for a salad that had a protein in it, wimpy needs to educate their waitron staff and have alternatives for vegetarian other than a salad or a veggie burger - also most places veggie burgers are terribly overcooked, they need to train their staff properly

I work in Aliwal North and Im a regular customer but I was disappointed when I was served a rotten/spoiled/bad steak and the manager didnt even want to talk to me. I insisted to talk to the manager after a while the manager came & didnt even apologise. The waitress was was friendly but the managers behavior was disgusting.I couldnt leave my details on the site written below,so today on the 15th of June 2021 I was served by the same guy who was serving me on the day mentioned above,I gave him my contact details. This wimpy makes the best wimpy burger I have ever eaten

Wimpy is Wimpy, and you know more or less what to expect. I am also not a hamburger person - detest them actually, but had a mushroom lava stream burger - lettuce, patty, egg, cheese, tomato, buns and a delicious mushroom sauce. Waitress very efficient and friendly. Was a good meal. They gave unfortunately taken iced coffee off the menu so had to settle for a coffee milkshake - lively but second best. Wimpy made excellent iced coffee and nothing nicer on a hot summer day. In my opinion, Wimpy has become expensive especially if you are a family of 4 or more. Not entirely their fault, price if food has become exorbitant. Enjoyable meal and experience - highly recommended for Wimpy.

Best Coffee in the NEC

I ordered a Dagwood sandwich and 2 mega cappuccinos from Aliwal North branch. Its not often that i feel underwhelmed by Wimpy food as its my staple when I travel but the sandwich was dry and tasteless. Dissapointing as its normally quite tasty. Better luck next time

Like any Wimpy, same menu, Same kind of very fast food. Service is friendly, there is a jungle gym for kids to play on and ample close parking, however, the ladies toilets always stink, are badly maintained, no handles on doors, no place to hang your handbag, and dirty towels to dry your hands. The toilets are a pretty poor indication of attention to detail, hope the kitchen is not the same.

Fast service even though the restaurant was extremely busy as it was a public holiday. Food was excellent and the cappuccino to die for. Conveniently situated so you dont have to drive around in town with lots of parking space.

The knives were so blunt it was almost impossible to cut the toast we had. The eggs were fried in far too much oil they were almost floating.

It was a real pitstop. My friend who does not take milk in her cuppicino asked one of the staff to make it with her soya milk and she said it was the best soya cuppicino she ever tasted. The food was very good, well prepared. We even stayed longer then we intended.
