Except for the wind - what a beautiful day we had under the willow trees. The place is beautifully kept clean.Thoroughly enjoyed celebrating my son inlaws 40th 🎂.Definitely will visit again and possibly stay over.

Great for purpose. No bells and whistles but priced right for a fishing trip. 1 thing as a shortfall is the lack of a shower curtain

My son took me there for some stress relief. The place is close to home and the only issue with me is the dirt road from main road to the main gate.The place is quite clean and we chose the second lapa at the entrance.It was a windy day but we had good neighbors and a very good time as well.My son ended up catching all the fish,I didnt even get a bite.Its a nice place to relax and enjoy the outdoors

Really good service, nice places to stay

It has facilities, dont be expected that youll be able to use them.We went on a weekend, no proper braai facilities so we enquired as to the private island which we rented for R500 for the day. When I paid I was told we could use the closer toilet facilities. Later on we were told we were no longer to do so and had to walk to the other end of the resort to use the rundown and supposedly regularly sanitised bathrooms. What doesnt make sense was that if I paid R500 for a room (and didnt make use of that room) I could have access to the better facilities. When I attempted to discuss the matter with the management I was rudely dealt and told thats the way it is now (even though it wasnt in the beginning of the day).2 stars because the general place is clean. Wont happily return anytime soon.

Our experience is always good although the opposite of the main dam is slightly neglected !!

Nice fishing spot, catch & release only. three dams to fish in top dam carp & barbel bottom dams carp, barbel & bass. Open daily from 6 to 6. No camping allowed. The road to the bottom dams can be tricky after rains.

Overcrowded, Overfished. Some fish look like alien carp, their mouths are full of sores amd distorted fur to overfishing. apathetic place.

People working there are lazy.. They come with excuses of you can only sleep minimum two nights and not one night because of covid .. Doesnt make sense as no other geusthouse or fishing resort has that excuse

As the previous posts mention, the place is clean and well kept, safe environment for the whole family, if you just want to get out for the day you could do worse than this. As for the fishing, we were seasoned fishermen and we were watching what the others caught. From 6 in the morning till 5 in the afternoon, all around the dam, 1 pan size carp was caught. as far as we could see or find out, nobody else anywhere, caught anything. So if you just want a day out, this is not bad. If you want fish, sorry, none here.

Lovely venue for any function. Only downside is there isnt sufficient electricity supply to cook onsite and fridges if youre having a big function. But otherwise 👍

This place is great for fishing! Their grounds are clean and fairly looked after.They need improvements on:1) The bathrooms were FAR, dirty and not even a mirror for the ladies. I suggest to have a cleaning lady especially for weekends to clean every hour or so.2) The nearest tap is at the FAR bathrooms.

Always come here and enjoy the day never blanked out .use the worms that the little guys come and sell u ,it works

Neat and well kept, had a great time for a day spot... Dam was quiet so we didnt catch but still had a great time, toilets are clean, braais are good but take your own grid, facilities are safe, great family fishing spot, R50 per person entrance

I recommend you look for another venue.The location is great and beautiful, however the lady in charge whatever her name is has the worst attitude ever as if she is doing you a favour yet you are a paying customer.

Not one bite from 10AM to 6PM and tried a lot of different baits. Braai area only on one side of the dam and is a bit neglected. Otherwise a very nice experience and camp sites spaced adequately. Lawn was nicely cut and neat up to the dam.

Seriously packed! Get there early else you wont get a decent place to fish. Dont except to enjoy peace and quiet either as your neighbour will be a meter or 2 next to you.

This is really a great place. With 4 man made dams for fishermen with small shade lapas all around accompanied with available braais and toilets. venue and bungalows available for booking . great for the whole family and fishing

Wonderful place to go for a family outing. Would suggest going there early on in the day to get prime fishing spots.

My first visit today... Pay R50 pp but there is no toilet paper, the bathrooms are disgustingly dirty, womens bathroom has no sanity bins, bathrooms smell, toilet paper lying every where, fish mouths are torn so how do you control the right hooks being used? No dustbins, black bags lying around and litter in the dam. Just maintain your property!

Today my family and I went fishing at the R50 dam and after sitting for about 3 hours not only did we catch nothing but NOBODY caught anything. A mate of mine came through on his motorbike and we sat and had a few drinks by the dam... When we left, the stupid arrogant owner attempted to take my mate out with her car and then continued swearing and shouting at us as if we had come to terrorise her property and sent her german shepherd to attack him. I think that it was very unprofessional and disgusting. I would advise anyone to stay away from this place with people of such a disgusting nature.I also hope she reads this and realises how stupid she was to behave like that. And P. S if you dont want bikes there then put a sign up.
