These people dont know what they are doing when it comes to the wellbeing of animals.The staff mocked me when I tried asking for advise on feeding frozen rats to my ball python which I bought here stating theres a 100% chance Ill never succeed and that its not natural trying to get me to go to their After-hours Shop to sell me live feed, even when live feeding is illegal in this country. (My ball python has been eating frozen rats for months without any issues).Nothing about keeping a ball python in an enclosure is natural.The staff also lie about their card machine not working to make money under the table and mis-gender their arachnids as females for profit.

If you are going to continue selling hamsters, please ensure that you do proper research. You sold two male Syrian hamsters to one of our new members and the one has given birth to 15 pups, putting the lady in a desperate situation. When she reported the matter to your shop, there was laughter! This should not be treated as a joke. A sincere apology, and an offer to assist with extra cages until she could make further plans, would have been in order. We now do not know if the female is already pregnant again with a second litter, since she could have fallen pregnant again within minutes of giving birth, which would not bode well for her health and the developing litter. I would like to point out that if you had any proper knowledge, you would have known that Syrian hamsters should NEVER be housed together, and even the dwarf species that we get in SA, since they are all solitary and territorial as they approach adulthood. The member was not advised of this. We now have a litter of inbred hamsters, since we assume that the parents are siblings (and a high probability that their parents and grandparents were too). You then told the member that she could bring in the pups at 3 weeks old to determine genders...if you didnt get this right with the parents, how can you instill confidence that this will be done correctly with the babies? This litter will be going to a rescue center at 4 weeks old and not to yourselves where there is too much risk of a repeat situation. I can only advise that you learn from this and acquire adequate knowledge about hamsters, if you are going to continue trading them (and any other animals that you sell, for that matter too), so that you can at least advise your customers properly.
