Our go to park. My kids love this place. Perfect for family and friends low budget picnic outing. There are braai stand available and lots of tree shades. The dam brings the most amazing breeze especially after rain. I love this place.

Its such an awesome environment to be in. Very clean and well maintained. Definitely would recommend this as a place for families to get together and have a relaxing day.

Great place. I did the 10 km hike and I really enjoyed it. Wasnt tough, I have never hiked 10 km before. Clean and beautiful outdoor. No chance of COVID19 infection there. Great for family and dogs.

Wondering playgrounds, work out gym, kept very clean, big open area to play, fishing is good, big fish in the dam, braai areas to braai, toilets and nice cemented areas with roofing for shade to sit. Really reccomend

I was disappointed with the state of the toilets.Also there werent enough braai facilities for try amount of families that were there.On a positive note, it was clean and kids playground facilities were clean, presentable and not broken.

Cool place to catch some air

My wife and I always take our grandson to Jackson Dam. Its so safe and such a happy and fun place to take the kids to spend the day or afternoon. Theres ample parking and its always neat and clean. The kids have a varity of things to do...We simply LOVE Jackson Dam

Nice outing, not many trees for shade & play equipment not geared for toddlers.

Decently clean... I went there for some community service.. Still very nice place... Please try it out.. Take your kids you wont regret your decision

Its a lovely place to have a relaxed or planned picnic or birthday lunch or a braai. Theres a lot of shade from trees or roofed stands and concrete table and benches. It is a spacious place. The kids have a lot to do as well from running around, playing on the jungle gym, flying a Kite, playing with a ball and or fishing. My family enjoys coming here. It feels safe and environment is clean.I think what would add to it is having food stands. Sometimes theres a guy selling ice cream. I guess it prevents litter problems if there are no food stands.

Plenty of space for the kids to run around and play and an amazing place to do some work while enjoying the fresh air and sunshine. The park is clean and always well maintained 🌳🌞

Its a quiet little Dam, where you can fish, picnic, and play games. There is a play area with a slide,swings and a few others for the kids to play.The fishing is catch and release only.

Located in the south of JHB this park and dam is a really good idea for the family to spend the day playing, braaiing, catch and release for those into fishing and just great to walk around the dam and take in the beauty of nature

It looks great. Very tranquil. Filled with decent number of benches that one can use to chill and embrace the tranquility. I also saw a squirrel, which was a nice site.

Beautiful views and serene place

It was lovely except for later the day when some of the people got rude and disruptive due to being drunk out of their socks. That made it very uncomfortable and we left an hour earlier then we expected. Only sad part of the day.

So nice to have the facility open again. They took my temperature on entry. 32,1 and did not bat an eyelid.....Pity people abuse this facility by throwing plastic bottles etc into the water. A pleasant place to visit with children for a picnic or just a walk.

Great park, nice facilities. Has fishing, catch and release. No charge to enter. No alcohol allowed to be brought in. Some dog owners are disrespectul and dont pick up after their pets.

Clean and smart.we really like th place.

A clean, well maintained park. We visited on a late Saturday afternoon and there were lots of families but it wasn’t too full at all. I enjoyed this because I generally don’t like crowded areas. We had a small picnic. I was impressed by how well kept the park is. The security guard is also vigilant about people who obviously bring in alcohol so that’s reassuring :) A nice place to relax. I’ll be going back there soon :)

If you want a good spot, come early. Very nice family friendly place. Just bring toilet paper with because the paper gets folded on the floor on a box and runs out. Also, towards the afternoon, there seem to be a few undesirables just walking around an standing between people sitting. Be sure to watch and hide valuable.
