This is THE best restaurant in the South. The food is delicious, the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful and its definitely value for money. The manager is very hands-on and so friendly. They really care about their customers. Thank you for always making us feel so welcome.

Wonderful place to have events but make sure you book in advance. Great service by the staff and a wonderful live dj on Fridays and Saturdays. Music was good too. I had a great experience having my sisters engagement at the Cafe. Did our own decor and set up and requested a love song from the dj. Prices of the alcohol isnt that badly priced either. Great place to go out with family and friends and to have small events.

Lots of space for parking and has security at the front. Nice to go during the day, but can be a bit problematic during the evening. The waitress put down the drinks order differently and wanted us to pay more. This was the second time it happened. Food took a bit long but was very delicious.

They are trying hard. Waitress was good. But News Cafe has lost its vibe in my opinion. Couches seemed dirty, tables a little scuffed, menus had food marks all over both of them (during Covid) 🤔

Not my cup of tea at all. Loud music, fairly busy. Food borderline to being rejected. Calamari cooked correctly but smothered in a very artificial acidic sauce. Fajitas chicken very overcooked and tastless.Taco was more like matzo it was so hard. Cappuccino freezo was delicious. My partner stole most of mine.

The service hospitality there is amazing the waiters look after you and I felt bad at times when they kept coming back just to check if yuu still fine dont need a refill..... I would most def tell my friends and family that News Cafe Meyersdal is the place to be.

Very nice!The bouncers are lovely really made me and my friends feel safe. They ask creepy men standing behind us to move!I just dont like the toilets, there isnt a lady on duty (when they busy) to keep it clean.

Terrible service... Placed an order for a burger and chips and have already waited almost an hour with no sign of the food... Not sure if they are waiting for the potatoes to finish growing or if the cow that was grazing down the road maybe ran away before they could catch it to make the patties.Bring a game of monopoly with when you come here as you should get through a round or 3 before your food gets to you.

For a quick, wellen prepared meal from a generous menu of dishes to suit most taste you would do well to try the Newscafe and at Meyersdal. The venue is well lit and spacious and the staff friendly and attentive.

Heres a place to go to in the suburban Johannesburg south area. The crowd includes a variety of races. Not a bad place to come out for a drink, party little and still grab something to eat.

Nice vibe, mixed crowd, good music. Drinks are very expensive though. I paid R130 for a glass of wine and a double brandy and coke. That shouldnt have cost more than R90 max.
